I guess everybody has them but this weeks league race has uncovered one of mine in Brands Hatch Gp. I just can't get through 5 laps let alone 10 without a touching gravel! You would think since I can handle tracks like SPA & Silverstone that BH GP would be a piece of cake. But for some unknown reason BH GP & Willow give me fits on running a consistent race! My only guess is because I need a lot of work on being a consistent drifter since those two tracks require it. Now you know what track 80% of my practice time for league will be dedicated to :)

I think we all have those kind of tracks. Mine is one of the Dakota tracks (can't recall which one by name), the one that starts with a rolling start and goes into that wicked decreasing radius turn. I have some sort of mental block with that track. I should drive a Jeep on that track I'm so often in the sand!
I think I'll be sick the day we run that track in the League races. :yuck:

Speaking of which I need to find out which track arvore hates...💡

I suck at ovals... but i dislike the dakota's also...:indiff:

Ricky just don't drift at that track(as a matter of fact don't drift at any track)that will only causes you to loose grip/speed,the way of taking corners in B.H is equal to every other track: break as much as you can in straight line, feather the throttle into the apex and floor it as soon as you can...👍

The thing about brands hatch is the ammount of off camber corners this track implies...you are turning without seing the track and the exit of the corner and if you break to late and understeer or oversteer off you go into the sand... but thats what makes this track so mithical and exciting...:sly:

I think a light bulb finally went off in my head after reading your post, I think I've been running some off these tracks all wrong. I've always thought my driving style was high risk/high reward but I definitely need to do some minor tweaking if Im ever going to achieve better consistency. I did experiment with your recommendations tonight with positive and more consistent results.

I went through that revalation too at some point in the first season. I stopped racing as though I was trying to set the fastest lap every lap, and tried to work on putting together smoother, back-to-back laps without mistakes.

I've come to think that once you're smooth, and consistent the speed will come without pushing and taking big risks. Of course, I still mess up regularly, but much less often than I used to...

But i will add to ignore all of this when you are driving the lambo works as this car works best when side way round a corner the only car on the game that can drift and not loose speed.

there are only 4 or 5 tracks on the game i am good at but now i tend to practice my least favorite tracks to get better on them and keep up in the weekly races

if your failing on a track you have to slow down to go faster
slow in fast out.... fast in never out

Ohh those demon track, i have one, i suck at Nordschleife :mischievous: But seriously every time that I'm watching HOG videos from races, i know that this is prime. example of how not to drive. He's too nervous :scared:
