Myself (@DesertPenguin09) and @FlipJ have been in discussion about a new racing series. We have a few details worked out already but not enough for a full official first post. I am making the topic now just so we have a place reserved to update things we go.

For starters, it will most likely be Wednesday night EST. We don't have an exact time yet but expect to be after 7p EST. If anyone is interested please post here and wait for more info.

Sweet. Just for some info, what other days are you available to race?

Actually, anybody that posts with interest here, can you please post all days you have available to race? It will help us decide if Wednesday is still the best time. Thank you for your patience.

I'd love to be involved in this too. As I'm on the west coast PST 7 EST doesn't work for me as I don't get off of work till 5:00 ( I do work from home most of the time though.) Anything after 5:00PM PST - 8:00PM EST would work for me. And, any night other than Tuesday and Friday since I have to pick up my grandson from daycare on those days. But of course I'll make do with whatever decision is made.

Tuesday and Friday I could easily make a 6:00PM PST - 9:00PM EST start time. Just throwing that out there, probably more racers on EST than PST though, so no worries either way.

Here's some info that we have so far.

- Tracks: In general we will refrain using City Tracks as they are conducive to many incidents. The first season will be, and not in this order, Suzuka 2014, Bathurst, Nurburgring (either Nordschleife or GP/F, not sure yet), Indy Road Course and Brands Hatch. We want to showcase real world tracks, and the great ones at that. After that each season will consist of an even number of real and original tracks. We are not sure how many weeks a season will be.

-We will have the option open for more than one room in case it fills up. We will then divide the two evenly.

-Light Damage

-There will be a TT Event to determine starting Divisions for all drivers. This is how we will evenly split the two rooms, Divisions 1-3 and 4-6. The TT Event will be a 10 lap event where the fastest lap counts. Not 9 practice laps and one go at it. The car will be the BRZ GT300 Race Car that the game provides and the track will be Suzuka 2014

-No credit cap on car selection.

-This will be a strictly race car series. We have many Base Models to choose from so you can customize your colors and number style.

-Racing Hard tires on Normal tire wear. No pit stops.

-Prizes: There will be prizes at the end of each season. Most Overtakes will be awarded the ability to pick a track for next season. There will be two winners, for Race 1 and Race 2.

-There will be time changing during the race. We may attempt a "pseudo" 24 hour race.

-Racing incidents are real. All official incident complaints must be done through PM with the included drivers, myself, and FlipJ added to the conversation. We will need a replay uploader.

-Mics on mute during the race and qualifying.

-Points will be as follows: 25 > 23 > 20 > 18 > 15 > 13 > 10 > 9 > 8 > 7 > 6 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2 > 1
