Is there a way to get the full desktop version working on my mobile phone? I already tried the desktop enabler build into my Opera but that doesn't work.

If it isn't possible I'll just have to get used to the new mobile version. :P

I got it on my phone

I use firefox and an extension called phony i have set the user agent as "firefox desktop"

There's no simple way to do this, as there isn't really a "separate" mobile site which you can enable or disable. Those browser features are only relevant to sites which try to detect what type of device you're using, whereas GTPlanet's responsive design ignores that and fits itself in an appropriate format for the device's screen resolution.

The only way to trick that would involve some type of browser plugin or modification which renders the pages at different screen widths. There is probably something like that out there, but I don't know of anything specific.

^ That explains why the "identify browser as" option in two other premium browser apps didn't help. However on the iPad it shows desktop version. On my iPhone it doesn't show the last page number option while browsing threads, that's the only thing I really miss.

@Mikeybc There are no "versions". Whichever device you're looking at it's the same forum, things are just hidden/moved around/shrunk on smaller displays. The smaller you get, the more compact it is.

Oh, I see, anyway just I wish I could see the last page number before entering a thread.

To get to the last post you mean? Just click on the timestamp. Clicking on the thread title should also take you to the last unread post.

Yes, I just noticed most times when I click a thread title it went to page 1, but I did notice once in a while it went to the last page. . Will try clicking time stamp and see, not on phone now but will try later, thanks.

If you've read all of the posts in a thread the main link will take you to the first post, if you haven't read them all it will take you to the first unread.

I do agree though, on mobile devices there needs to be a better 'to last post'. The timestamp is pretty small.

Ahhh, that's why !

Sometimes first post, sometimes first unread post, is inconsistent and can be confusing. There should be a way to take you to the first post no matter what, and of course a way to get to the first unread post. Having an action sometimes do one thing, sometimes another isn't good.
