soh yeah,
im new in the forum,
i have a question to you guys :
i have a Driving force gt and i really want to put a custom wheel on it, like momo or other stuff, so i came to every single wheel moddin website and i cant find an ADAPTER to do it....
so, my question is, does the Driving force pro wheel adapter fits in the Driving fORCE gt???????????
really obsed for not found any mods to the DFGT

oh if i have post this thread in the wrong place please tell me

thanks

The “sim racing hardware”-subforum, might be a better place, because this isn't really about Gran Turismo 5.

I think it'll work, but the guys at the SRH-subforum, can give you a definitive answer.

If you looked at every website, you'd have an answer!

The only mods I have found are different pedals and a higher resistance spring (can be found on eBay) and they sell a rather nice carbon fiber skin and better paddle shift on granturgismo.com! 👍 .. I went ahead and bought everything I could for the wheel and put it all on at once so it kinda felt like something new lol.. Also you can do your own simple mods that just make it uniques like an eightball shifter knob and paint the main housing on top and bottom! Just depends how much you love your wheel!?

with the expense and hassle and the results not actually being any better than how you started.

I would either leave alone or upgrade the whole wheel.

I had a DF Pro then upgraded to the DFGT, I am now awaiting delivery of a G27. I looked into upgrading the older wheels and found it just wasnt worth it. Once you have the G27 or up, then you could think about modding maybe as the end results may actually prove to be worth it.

Derek Speare Designs did an adaptor for the DFGT but it is curently out of stock/production. The biggest problem with changing the wheel on the dfgt woud be the loss of all the buttons on it (20 or so?) You could always map these to a button box if using it on a PC but it would be useless on PS3. I disagree that the DFGT isn't worth upgrading, its a very good wheel for the money and even though I myself have upgraded to a G27 there are things about the DFGT that I miss. I did the granturgismo paddle mod and wired in my own sequential shifter to compliment the shifter already there.

Its also possible to wire in a set of g25/g27 pedals to the DFGT which adresses the DFGTs biggest shortfall. (you don't get to use the clutch obviously) some more ideas here:

How much is it to upgrade the pedals though? I looked into this and believe it or not I found the G27 wheel cheaper than I could find the pedals seperate and the adapter to make them work on the DFGT. Not to mention the eae. Though I am not great in the DIY dept.

I agree that the DFGT is a very good wheel, thats why I dont think upgrading the actual wheel will benefit him in anyway whatsoever. I do agree that upgrading the pedals would, but that isn't what OP asked about.

No adaptor needed, its a case of taking the wire from the DFGT pedals abd attatching it to the G27 pedals, a bit of DIY involved obviously. G25/27 pedals can be picked up on ebay now and again for £30-£40.

Even adding a new wheel to a G27 is essentially pointless as it gives little in extra performance.....but its nice and thats what a lot of modding is about really. If he were to upgrade the wheel on the DFGT he can re use the wheel for his next setup anyway....more like an investment. But essentially I agree, upgrading the wheel on the DFGT is not worth it

Thanks :)
I guess the adapter was to avoid the DIY.
