As most controller drifters most of us got a wheel for christmas and i have the DFGT, i need HELP with it. I been practicing nonstop, i can't seem to keep the drift going and end up spinning out. I changed the steering settings to Simulation and my A.S is at Mild. Any tips or help will be awesome.

Practice practice and the right set up. It takes time you will not get it over night. Add me I have same wheel maybe I can see what you're actually doing.

RSM-Spank

Spank is right, I got my GT5 3 days ago and I started practicing drifting for about 3 hours a day and now I can drift a little bit I just need to learn how to drift without using the e-brake

I'm having this same problem too. Just got the same wheel. Simulation for the wheel settings. I looked into how to get used to it and someone in a different subforum suggested to redo the license tests as a stepping stone. I've been slowly doing those since I got the wheel and I've seen some improvements. I've only done the National B license, but it's a big change from when I first held on to the wheel.

yeah but im getting used to it little by little. Try a FC stock suspension 5 60 60 LSD. I saw it on a forum and its working out for me. Thanks for the replys guys, if you want to add just add.

Turn off your active steering, that fixes the need for counter steering defeating the purpose of drifting lol.

Like eveyone said, practice! It takes a while to get the hang of, try watching some youtube vids with "onboard" video, it'll show you where your hands should be!

For a beginner decel on 60 might hinder his throttle control.

Very very true. I hate that garbage setting. It makes no sense.

Also guys who are using DFGTs, G25, G27, Thrustmaster just to let you know in the future that simulation setting doesn't apply to those wheels.

Only in forza would that happen hahaha

Which does it apply to? I'm looking to upgrade. >: )

Have you heard of understeer before?thats what you gonna get if you do this unless you make the suspension extremely firm.high initial torque and acceleration sensitivity would work better because it give your car a much better response when you floor it.

If you look at the other wheels that are supported besides the ones I listed. Also if you look when you highlight that option it shows the wheels it does apply to brightened. The wheels i listed don't need this setting because they are already simulation wheels..

If you want a good wheel with amazing features like a real life car get the G27 so look for it when you are looking to upgrade. It is well worth the money. You can literally turn the cars off by dumping the clutch. Engine brake ect.

All apart of tuning. And ask drift monkey i am the understeer king hahahahahahaha

Hey guys I just got my wheel as well I can hold drifts sometimes but other times I just spin out towards the inside if anyone's got any tips add me. My psn is ATT_TIGER.

I think you using too much power or flooring it a little bit too early and not counter steering quick enough

Yeah, the clutch pedal would be a good upgrade by itself, but, I'm looking for more like smoother steering and a quicker motor so the wheel moves a little closer to how it it should. Maybe I should just stop being lazy and search.

Then the t500 rs would be the wheel for you.it got the strongest motor and 1080 degrees of rotation and the wheel responds very quickly.the only problem I have is I haven't tried it yet

On the s13,it's all about getting the right tune and control it while doing anything

Ya true and I did start off with a High rpm turbo so that why I need to work on throttle control a lot more. I should go to low rpm but if I start off with high rpm it will force me to work on my throttle control much more.

If you add me on PSN (I think I might have maxed out on friends, if I have just send me a message and I will add you back) then I can show you some techniques that work well with wheels. But unfortunately my DFGT pedals have broke so I probably won't be able to drift with you unless if I can eventually get them fixed.
