So I'm using an old, beat up Driving Force Pro. I have to calibrate it often three or four times to get it centered (sometimes it thinks upside-down is centered :yuck:), and I feel it's definitely time to get a new wheel.

My options are mentioned in the title:
Driving Force GT - $129 (Amazon, GameStop)
Logitech G25 - $237 (Link)
Logitech G27 - $275 (Link)

Soooo.... which would you guys recommend? I would like to get a nice wheel, needless to say, but also I'm a bit worried about GT5 compatibility with the G25/27, etc.

G25.

It works flawlessly with GT5 and you get the advantage of an "on the fly" sequential/H-gate change for your shifter - helps with the emmersion aspect if youa re driving a sequential stick shifted race car.

DFGT if you want one cheap, good, and one that works well with GT5.

G25 for reasons said above.

G27 probably if you want it's high spec-ness or something. I don't know much about this wheel.

gt2, works on pc, ps3, and 360, has tons of adjustments like removing and changing dead zone, changing strength of ffb, and changing the degrees of rotation

Well the G25 does seem like the best choice normally but with this deal I might have to pass up the G25 and do a paddle shifter mod. Thanks for the tip!

If you plan on drifting PLEASE don't get the wheel. I hate mine. Regular driving should be just fine I think, though.

G27. Lots of good stuff there. Great feeling wheel and FF, shifter is great, pedals are great, easy to set up and works like a charm with GT5. I got one the week before Christmas (upgrading from a 6 years old DFP that still works like new) and its SO much better. If it's as tough as my DFP (played lots of GT4 and Initial D on that unit) I won't be in the market for a new wheel for a good long time.

dfgt is $99 at best buy this week!

They dont have any in stock anymore. I was on the phone with a best buy salesperson for hours today looking for them. And they wont honor that price whenever they get more in (no one could seem to figure out when that might be) if the deal is already over, so might as well spend the extra money and get it today at a store that is actually carrying them. I found it for $129 at an electronics store called Fry's

Gamestop has it for $129 as well. Also checked Best Buy's website, not available for shipping, but available for pickup at the following stores: Oh wait! No stores listed. :indiff:

I may wait until I see another $100 deal on it. If I see anything below $200 for the G25 I might get that instead though.
