DFGT Now....or G27 in a few months.

Should I go ahead and buy a DFGT now, or wait until closer to GT5 and get a G27? I've heard that quite a few people end up getting a G27 only a few months after getting a DFGT.

Thanks for any input.

Well, it depends, if you don't mind paying the extra for the G27 then DEFINATELY get that. It is light years better then the DFGT. Now if you don't want to pay the price for the G27 (as it is quite a lot of money, however it is worth it) then, yes, go ahead and get the DFGT now.

But reading your post again, are you planning on buying the G27 later even if you get the DFGT? Because if you are... just buy the G27 now :dopey:

Point to Ponder: If you get the DFGT you will get used it particularly the button configuration which is great and ideal for GT5 or GT5P. A few months later you get the G27, guess what the buttons are in different locations than the DFGT. You will have to retrain yourself while driving again. Honestly (I speak from experience), go with the G27 or G25 and do it right the first time. I have both a G25 and DFGT, The DFGT is a great wheel as is the G25 but I wish I would have just done the G25 from the beginning.

When i bought my turbo s i couldn't afford the clubsport edition , so I don't know how good they are , but i know the g25 are better than the stock turbo s pedals

The G25/G27 are great pedals, and they still set the standard for an "affordable" high performance wheel/pedal combo. I haven't used the stock Fanatec Turbo S pedals, but they look a little cheap. Most of what I've read indicates that the G25/G27 pedals are an upgrade.

The ClubSport pedals are in another league though. They're overbuilt, more adjustable, and have much better brake feel.

I'm thinking of buying another wheel for two-player split-screen mode and I can either pick up another DFGT or go with the G27 and make my current DFGT the 'guest' wheel.

I don't drive in manual so if I'm not going to use the shifter is the G27 still worth the upgrade from the DFGT? I wish I knew about the G27 rebate on Amazon 2 weeks ago; it would have made this decision a bit easier.
