Dfp + gt4 + ps3

[The Gran Finale]

My DFP doesn't work with GT4 or GT3 on the PS3. When I say it doesn't work, I mean the two little lights that usually come on when playing the game, don't come on. I know the wheel's not broken because it does work with GT5P. However the DFP does operate in its normal fashion when playing GT3 on the PS2. My PS2 won't read my GT4 disc so I can't confirm it's operation with GT4 on the PS2.

Anyway, does anyone have a solution? (I hope the above paragraph made sense.)

My advice is to plug the wheel in the first USB port on the PS3.

If your ps2 is not reading your gt4 then your ps2 might be the issue, not the wheel it self. as for ps3 not being able to work, i have no clue what to say, try to google it.

I can say out of my own experiences that this GT4 + PS3 + DFP should work. Have been using this setup for several months now. Have you tried to:

- wait before you plug in the usb cable until the game has fully started.
- plug in all the usb ports?
- let the game start, then press the home button on your controller, wait for it to be controller #1 and then plug in your DFP usb cable.

Okay, thanks for the responses. My brother is currently using the PS3 so I can't test all of your guys' theories just yet. I'll for sure get to use it later tonight and will post an update later this evening.

I took Vince247's suggestion and waited to plug the DFP in after the game was fully loaded and it worked. Thanks for all the help!
