DFP is too loud!!!

Hi everyone!
It's been a few months since I've played GT. Upon picking it up again, I found out that my wheel is a lot louder than I remember... a lot louder.
I live in an apartment, so it is not really feasible to have that thing making so much noise when I am drifting or whatever. I've tried some simple solutions, but they are just not effective enough.
Has anyone had any success shutting this thing up?

try changing the muffler to stock

Be as smooth as you possibly can and try to keep the wheel rotation speed down (hard while drifting I suppose). Other than that I don't think you can do much except turn up your music/TV.

Doesn't bother me at all. . Or I am having a quiet DFP model :sly: . Or I'm smooth with it. So I don't hear the DFP.

I barely hear it, but then again I have huge headphones on. But it doesn't bother me even when using the normal speakers.

There really is no alternative, except get a different wheel. The DFP will always be noisy, and there's no way to get around it.

Well... there IS something that works for me but it would really be the last thing to do. Get into GT and make sure that your wheel as auto-calibrated. Then unplug the plug next to the pedal plug. This will remove the resistance and the sound of the wheel. But it is very tough to control.

That's why I'm hoping I can get the BRD S7 wheel to work with the PS2.

Are you serious ?... Are you willing to spend that kind of money of a steering wheel for computergames ?....

No disrespect or anything... But in my head, that's simply insane...

I am serious as a heart attack. Infact I am buying the S7 wheel STRICTLY to use on the PS2 and Gamecube. No DFP for me for reasons stated above.
