Did I just blow a million credits?

I'm level 19 in A-Spec, and the only races I haven't golded are the Historic Race Car and the Gran Tourismo All Stars.

Being smart, I had saved up just over a million credits. So I figured I would buy a Race Car to compete in the All Star races.

After 15 minutes of comparing the dealerships rides, I settled on the EPSON NSX '08 from Honda. I added stage 3 engine, and a high RPM Turbo to push it over 600HP.

Little did I know, the other Race Cars in the All Star race are pushing 900HP with less weight. (I know, stupid of me :dunce: not to check before spending my credits.)

So, I can keep up. But the Epson isn't handling nearly as good as they are.

I plan to buy Racing Soft tires, to help the sliding.

It is a MR car, so it suffers from bad understeer when exiting the corners under throttle. Any pointers or tuning options I could try to help with this?

Thanks in advance for the help. 👍

Yep, you blew 1 mil.

Just keep doing easy races over and over to try and get it back. I did that for a while then unlocked more stuff then did that and next thing I know I'm sitting at 3 mil and a 22.

Yeah don't bother spending another 36,000 to put soft slicks on it either. I used a Zonda R for that series of races and it was TOUGH. That Honda doesn't stand a chance. I've seen that some people have used the Race Modified ZR-1. I personally don't see how but there is a thread concerning the topic on this page. Good luck.

well what i did is i did the Miata race in amateur for B-spec, you'll win a Mazda Furai from it. the furai can only max out at like 570 horsepower but the handling is amazing, it also weighs like 610kg

Is that the race where the first one is at sarthe? If that is it, what you have to do is take the gallardo you used for the gallardo challenge and put everything, and raise the top speed a bit (not sure if necessary) and race it.

Must not be the same race cause that Gallardo will be embarrassed by these LMP race cars.

I waste credits in GT5 almost as bad as vacation in Las Vegas. Who cares, ya gotta do a few more races to make some more cash. Good! :D

I love MR's on some tracks but you'd hafta be a "Stig' - Jedi Knight -Chuck Norris" level racer to drive a MR competitively on every track without ever screwing up.

I'm currently grinding to RM my ZR1 so I can finish that series...then I have to raise another assload of money to buy a historic race car so I can finish that series!!! I hate Gran Turismo...but I can't stop.

If you finish that with the ZR1 I could trade you my 330 P4 for the ZR1 and when we both finish said series we could trade them back. The 330 P4 i have has 600hp from a stage 3 turbo btw. It can definitely win the race, it's not easy, but it's not hard.

Lol. I fully upgraded my 2010 camaro just for fun..and I just now realized that at a higher level, you need to pay for damage. So this should be interesting

I'll keep that in mind and let you know how it goes when I raise the cash to do this. I have my team of B-Spec Bobs working hard as we speak.

It is possible in the Honda IMO but you need to make sure you win at least 3 out of the 5 races and hope you finish in the top three at Tokyo.

Lol.. I was about to buy a Super GT Nissan GTR for that race thinking I could keep up. Instead of potentially wasting the money I 'test drove' the car in arcade mode and realized it wasn't even as fast as my modded 458. Luckily I didn't buy it.

I used my Lambo SV, which currently sits at about 879 hp and Medium Racing tires; I "golded" all the races. Good car, the tires really help with handling.

the speed of those cars is in the down force and how fast you can take turns. I will bet that if you learned how to drive the GT (or any really) and push its limits your lap times will be much better than any modded street car.
