Did the latest patch address B-Spec Bobs attitude?

I, just a few days ago, updated to the latest patch. Before that update Ive been through around 20 Bobs. Ive retired the retarded idiots and only kept the the half-idiots. All of my pre-patch Bobs are level 30+ and still didn't listen to me very well and drove like retards from time to time. "Overtake" command never worked for any of my six idiots but they could drive there butts off most of the time. They ignored me sometimes when I said "pace down" with a car right behind them or even when by themselves. However I noticed my oldest Bob, level 35 with 185 races, has a weird silver box thingy at the end of his speed bar in his profile. Seems he cant get faster.

Fast forward to patched GT5. I now retired that old level 35 idiot and replaced him with a new Bob who I named F. Alonso[took me 2 hours to find a suitable racing name. Ridiculous time wasting moments abound in GT5 lol]

Here's the thing. In his first race I put F. Alonso in a Bugatti on Grand Valley level 24 race. He is level 1, brand spanking new. He could not control the Bugatti great but he............LISTENED TO ME EVERY TIME. WHAT..........THE..........HELL????? :scared: :scared: :scared: Is this the Twilight Zone???

After I recovered I realized he was pacing up and down and overtaking exactly as I gave the command. Did I mention he is level 1? I promptly put him in a Peugeot 908 on the Nurburgring 4 hour enduro by himself to level him up fast. He is now level 33 and now my best driver:tup:. Im thinking its gotta be the patch or did I just get a Bob that slipped past the aliens in Skyline and retained his brain?

It might be a fluke. My Bob was leading one of the Indy races and on the back straight, with a hundred miles of straight road in front of him, promptly drove smack into the ass end of the last place car he was lapping.

Needless to say Bob lost that race. Should have his racing license revoked. I face palmed and very nearly put my game disc into an envelope and booked myself a flight to Japan to find the programmer who created Bob and stuff that envelope up a part of his anatomy.

Alas I just restarted the race.

I've wondered this... my bobs do in fact have very different personalities... It's pretty clear as they behave totally differently in very common circumstances... and this has nothing to do with their "heat and/or mood" rating...

Can't put my finger on it but my bobs ARE different... I have a level 10 guy that is effectively a much better driver than my level 20 guy... The younger guy just has some issues with cars that are too powerful... where as my higher level guy just has some random issues...

Are you factoring in your personal b-spec level into this? I mean YOU become a better manager as you increase in level (I guess), so you probably get better influence over your drivers whatever their levels.

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

My highest Bob is 39 and I'm 37....trying for the SLS...

SirAllanClive considering that the last batch of Bobs were done with me at level 35+ B-Spec it would seem that your idea may not be the reason. Im at the same level with F. Alonso. The rest dont listen to me as good as F. Alonso. I just figured it was the patch since that is the only thing that changed. Maybe I just got fortunate and ran into a Bob with a brain. BTW since he is leveled up now he isnt as obedient as he was at Level 1. Go figure. He is still far better than the rest in terms of listening. He is not the fastest of the lot yet. I want to see how he is when he is at the same level as my top guy now.

Lawndart I too have had Bobs that were better at a lower level than my high level Bobs. I guess its personality and skill simulation attempt by PD.

Mahgwa I feel your pain x 1mil....EVERY Bob I have, including the phenom F. Alonso lol, cant avoid a rolling land mine even if they have acres of land on either side of the rlm. Its infuriating. Put them in an X1 at Daytona and prepare to rip your hair out at them slowing to under 150mph from 2000 yards away from an rlm and then staying behind it for a half lap before cautiously passing it.

Rankiin all my Bobs are in the red zone personality wise. Ive had many in the blue zone to mid zone and I hate the even more cautious approach they have in passing and turning situations. The Bobs that have personalities in the red Zone seem to all possess that Tony Stewart temper in passing situations even in corners except when I put them in an X1:crazy:

Red zone is best because they actually overtake whereas the blue guys just let people drive past. The bar goes to red and blue the same for them all in races anyway so personality means nothing other than overtake or take your time I guess.

Yep. It seems that way indeed.

My midgets are mostly all morons now that they passed lvl 10 ..berore this I won a trophy for being a good team manager or somesuch ..it does seem as they lvl they get harder to manage ..I guess its an attempt at realism ...I just want to grind credits ..Midget bobs or boobs ,,just need to accomplish this simple task ,,usually you retire them when they begin to lose skills ..I find it funny as heck not one can drive the Bugatti ,,,x2010 yes ,,,Buggatti they get retarded .

I fired one of my Bobs and rolled a new one. So here I am with a level 1 Bob and I throw him in an endurance race with a car that easily dominated the field and he wins. Poof he uber levels and now his stats look better than drivers with twice the level as him.

Is this a fluke or if you level a bunch all at once, do your bars slide more?
