O boy yesterday I did some races vs the AI using a headset.

PS Platinium headset I got it from my girlfriend at my birthday, i gues she was a litle tired of me when i cranked up the TV to enjoy the sounds of my games :-)

O my good this game has extremely good sounds. They already sound fantastic just from using the TV.

But you all guys owe it to yourself to try it with a headset. Its mindblowingly fantastic, I can just sit and grin and smile just from hearing all the sounds from my car, and the other cars as I pass them, and curbs and all that stuff. So good, there is nothing that is even close on any other sim racer I tryed :-)

Definitely headphones. My girlfriend and neighbours would be very upset with me otherwise. The engine noise coming back of the walls or of competitors right alongside you is great.

Plus the tyre noise is very quiet, even with engine turned down, and I like to use tyre noise to give me a hint for understeer as its difficult to feel through the wheel sometimes

I do use David Perel PS4 sound settings

For the rest I always play with an Pioneer headset with SRS surrounding effects, amazing audio job from Kunos simulazione in ACC, original AC was already really good, but this is on an other level...best sounding racing simulator on console

if you were on PC you could try Raceroom Racing Experience. It was the sim with the best sounds for a very long time. ACC now is better but R3E is very close. They have fantastic sounds.

I only have and old PC for surfing the internet.

But I may buy a real gamer PC for sim racing in 1-2 years, just waiting a bit to see how the next gen Consoles will do.

But if I ever get a PC I will defenetly check out Raceroom Racing Experience :-)

I use the same settings and get the sound through my Denon Hi Fi. Totally epic.

I normally play with my Turtle Beach's on which are fantastic but this weekend I did an experiment. I hooked up my little sub woofer to the PS4 and pushed it under my Playseat Challenge. Driving the Lexus was amazing and it really shook my butt/house on the downshifts/curbs. :D

The rest of the household weren't too impressed though.

The LFE are stunning in this game 👍

I thought AC sounds were pretty spot on, but in the AC forum I mentioned that there was something lacking, rawness, volume ( not sound volume but air density etc ), ACC sounds show exactly what I meant. They sound real not just accurate.

You're wright, ACC sounds are spot on , David Perel mentioned that he gived along with other drivers a lot of feedback and onboard videos of the sounds they here, seems that Kunos really good notes of the feedback and did also good recordings.

Raceroom is an other SIM with excellent car sounds, but I think that ACC set the bar a bit higher.
Best sounding SIM on consoles for sure...and it gives a lot of information and immersion, more with a good headset.

I play using a pair of Sennheiser HD650 through an Asus Xonar Essence STX using fake surround.
Awesome sound!
I use Philips Fidelio X2HR and Schiit stack, very nice. Been considering the HD650 for a while but I'm too happy with the fidelios to bother keeping on going down the rabbit hole.

I use my full AV system and cranked up that is quite wonderful, particularly with the sub and tactile units working in tandem.

How did you get that mounted on a playseat challenge Scaff? If you still are a playseat challenge user as me..:D

Do you have neighbours? :D
I have a bass shaker on my Playseat Challenge but if I turn it up too much it rattles the chair quite badly, plus shakes the floor.

It's s held on with bits of wood but works fine

Thick walls and solid floors help a lot, I’ve secured my base shaker to my Playseat Challenge with a couple of c clamps and a metal pole, still have to watch going too far with it.
