What's your driving style? I'm still learning, even though I'm sure everyone is still learning no matter how experienced they are. Anyways, I brake hard and do a little trail braking if needed on the turn in, then come off the brakes and start getting on the throttle and try to get full throttle just before the apex. I tend to try to go for later apexes, but on some corners it isn't the easiest thing to do. Maybe I can pick up some helpful info from others giving their input.

Clean and fast. Sometimes I am too extreme slow in, fast out. Too safe in braking zones. Some times I am not smooth enough in flowing sections.

If you study GT Academy videos from the top drivers you'll gain a lot of insight as to how to be fast in GT.

The only thing the driver learns is how far to push the car and how fast they can take a corner through trial and error.

When it comes to driving style, there's really only one quick way round the track and that's by driving smooth and using the above.

I tend to over drive but I use a DS3 and have to constantly correct my line. The times I manage to put in a decent lap time, I haven't had to correct as much. I imagine it's the same with a wheel user but they have a little more control and less correcting to do.

I don't have a particular driving style I guess it's just give it your all brake late as possible and use other techniques if needed such as heel and toe, trail braking etc. How I corner obviously depends on the corner itself. As Johnny said study the GT Academy drivers 👍 even other racers why not. Set some lap times and over time keep trying to beat them again and again.

One thing I used to do with my friend to improve his driving skill was to constantly lap tracks that were various difficulties in different types of car so he'd understand how cars would handle. From the overly grip Formula 3 to the unstable RUF BTR.

I have only been playing gt6 for about a month now and I have discovered that I prefer to drive FR cars because I set my fastest lap times in them which I'm guessing is because they suit my driving style best. I like to be able to steer the car with the throttle - you can get under steer or oversteer when needed based on when/how you apply the throttle.

I haven't spent as much time driving MR, FF, 4WD so havent been able to successfully adapt my driving style for these types of cars. I find MR cars under steer on corner exit when hard on the throttle which is the opposite of FR cars, so feathering the throttle isn't as effective in getting the car pointed the way you want it to go. I'm guessing you need more of a point and shoot style to drive those cars fast.

I too seem to get my best times in FR cars. I recently been trying to master FF, smoothness is key. Turning as little as possible to maintain average speed which means not over braking or getting back on the throttle to soon thus losing momentum with under steer. Definitely goes against my usual slow in fast out style. It is a lot of fun to learn a new style and to watch lap times gradually decrease!
