Dirt 3 and Logitech G27?

Dirt 3 is out i allready have it mate but its works not that well with a g27 but its not bad or something like that. but its not like gt5 or something .
 
I'm having the PS3 version but my G27 doesn't work, I cant set any controls, maybe I have to wait for a patch tomorrow or the day after that.

Wow! this worries me because I want to buy this game this week! Before we all go into despair, try to see if the G27 is the first controller, if you turn on your PS3 using the DS3, the G27 becomes the second controller and the game does not recognize it!

Thats strange as the official forums list the G25 & G27 both for PS3 and PC as compatible.

Ensure your controller is off perhaps via the PS Button Menu.
The Logitech DFGT works fine as I tried it last night.
 
That is really strange I read in a STR video interview that the game was designed primarily on a wheel... and from the video images it looked like a G27 for the PS3 and fanatec for the Xbox... and dirt 2 worked very well with that wheel...
 
The G27 does indeed work with dirt3. On the press start screen press the equivalent of the DS3's "X" button (on the G27's gear stick attachment) and the game should auto-configure the G27 for you

I'm still trying to fine tune the best settings with it.
 
Worried now :( I have g25 and i thought i will be able to use h shifter and clutch, like in dirt 2. If H shifter and clutch are not going to be in dirt 3 as an option i will be missing that dance on the pedals.. :(

This legal business between Sony and Logitech is only hurting you guys. It's a freaking game controller, not a diplomatic policy for crying out loud!

You don't have to do all of that for the G27 to work...

My DS3 is no 1 and G27 no 2 and when I open the game using the buttons on the shifter pad, everything works well.

You can map every button just fine, as in F1 2010.
 
G27 works well, every button can be mapped (PD should make notes here). One thing I miss is that you can't assign one function to two buttons (e.g. handbrake). IMHO this game looks best in 3rd person view and with dualshock control as in good old CMR games

Good riddance Logitech. Are you serious.
What are they supposed to do. Come to your house and upgrade your wheel every time a new game comes out.

It's up to the game developers to make the hardware work.
I'm sure Sony didn't mind all the G25/27 owners purchasing consoles in the beginning.

IMHO Logitech have the proven most reliable piece of kit and fantastic customer support.

Be careful what you wish for......... It might happen.

Ps I'm not flaming you btw.

G25/27 is fully supported. H-shifter and clutch works great like in Dirt 2

 
Works great for me, great feel and everything.

I keep missing shifts with the H shifter and clutch, I don't get why. I shift the same way every time, I think I might not be pushing in the pedal all the way some times because I'm trying to shift fast. not too happy that you have to have the clutch pressed the whole way, but I'm pretty sure I can change that in the tuning menu.

The G27 works great with the game....period

Same here! I'm not used to the clutch disengaging when it's on the floor :P
 
I tried clutch for a few minutes with the G25 and missed quite a few shifts. It almost felt like when you miss a shift in GT5. No way to adjust clutch pedal like you can throttle and brake pedals though (that I saw), so that's a bit of a problem.

Using shifting paddles on wheel is way faster, but it would be fun to use clutch and H-pattern for authentic feel with the older cars once in a while.
 
Agreed.

They need to add a Clutch setting option so we can adjust the sensitivity.
The clutch engages/disengages WAY to low...I thought GT5 was bad with missing gears DIRT 3 takes it to a whole new level!

If you are using a PS3, make sure to start the game with the G27 X botton.. don't touch the DS3, and navigate all menus with G27. Then goto options and select wheel for controller and goto advanced wheel settings and adjust everything. My G25 works that way, I bet the G27 does too.
 
Found a problem with my pc vrsion, i use g27 and csp, clutching h shift was working yesterday, today out of the blue, the gear work but clutch dosnt, during setup ingame it detects the csp clutch, but during drive the gear doesnt want to engage styed at neutral ant tips?
 
I have the same problem with G27 and Dirt 3 (PS3 version):

the clutch pedal do not work correctly in many situations...
