I've always thought it would be cool to take a few PD original road courses, and simply turn them into dirt versions. Same layout, same scenery, only the surface is dirt. Obviously the real world courses would be kept on road, but this is just an idea.

Who wouldn't want to drive Mid-Field or Complex String on dirt?

In my opinion, it is a solid no

It's a good idea but the layouts and elevation changes aren't the best for dirt courses

Good idea. It could be an option before you use the track, 'select surface' 👍

A very old motorcycle game on PS2, Riding Spirits, had some of the fictional
tarmac tracks in dirt version also

Great fun on super-motards

For Pikes Peak I imagine PD could offer an option to race the modern full tarmac version or the older dirt one. Maybe even an in-between version with dirt and tarmac sections.

That would be an excellent idea!!!

Darn, I broke the 50-50 split with my vote of no. As much as I always welcome new features, I just don't think it would work well. Being a drifter, I imagined on how each track would work as having turns that you can slide through and combo.

We have to take in consideration of the dirt physics and how well it would work with the layouts of the road track. I have to experience it myself to know for sure, but as far as I can imagine, it wouldn't work well, thus having little use to me.

however, I think if track creator returns, we should have the option to choose between the two.
