DiRT3 Windshield Water Splash, BAD?

I found that when in cockpit mode, water splashed on windshield is bad comparing to DiRT 2. It's so great in DiRT 2... why they reduce this great visual fx in DiRT 3? Does anyone knows? Did u guys ever notice? thx

Ok, i've check videos on youtube about the splash... I think the problem is in my PC? hahaha... maybe the vga driver, i'm using GTX 275 with older driver (new driver has compatibility issue with another game). Some videos on youtube showing normal water splash on windshield, some no water on windshield. And mine got little water spot on windshield... weird -,.-"

I get the splash no problems and it looks pretty good, or as good as it can on the ps3. (why didnt i buy this on the pc!!)

thx for replying hmmm.... i guess no problem on the console, the problem is on PC... maybe it should use directx 11? my VGA only support Dx 10... but i guess the game set for Dx 9.... hmm. I don't have problem with DiRT 2... water splash is so great... ....yes, u should buy PC version... hahah..

i think it looks funny, and I can only run it in direct X90 too (win xp), actually in general I think the game looks a lot less impressive then I expected with everything maxed out.

is there a huge difference with direct X 11?

Yes, something missing here... we could not really feel the greatness of DiRT2 i suppose? But i really love Gymkhana

u know what, i played my video replay of DiRT 2 the other day.... i think it's gorgeous. What happened with DiRT 3 replay? seems not very interesting...

I don't know about directx 11, i guess it would maximized the water effect quality? hahahhahah... weird

I'm running it on the PC and it splashes just fine. I've got a GTX 570 running 270.61.

Although certain cars (I think the old trailblazer cars) don't get splashes on the windshield. I thought they didn't have wipers, so that's why they made it not happen, but I don't know.

GTX 570 is DirectX 11 right? So i guess with DirectX 11 the splashes is OK. But i guess it's still cooler DiRT 2 Splashes? thx

The water effects on the car are just stunning!!! IN fact I would say Dirt 3 has THE best water effects in a racing game right next to PGR4. Each little drop of water on the body and on the windshield and keeps building up until the wipers come on. I just wish I could have found out how to take pics on the 360 version because when its raining in the game, it looks amazing on the cars. 👍

HUaaaaa.... i wish to have all cool water effects on my PC ...but i think my problem is only when water splashed on windshield... thx
