Disconnected from Daily Counter?

All night long I've been getting disconnected from either PSN or a PD server -- whatever it is that keeps track of how many consecutive days I've been logged in. I will start up my PS3 and it auto logs me in just fine. I start GT6 and have no issues. It shows the number 5, for the max consecutive days login bonus. I go and do a few Seasonal Events and have no issues.

Then, out of the blue, I will finish a Seasonal Event and notice that my payout is only half of what it should be. Sure enough, I will exit out to the main screen and the number 5 is no longer overlayed on that icon at the top of my screen. I can hold down the PS button on my steering wheel and select Quit Game. It will bring me back to my PS3 main screen and it will show that I am still connected to PSN - my PS3 friends list is updated properly, it shows people coming and going.

Then I start up GT6 again and all will be fine. The number 5 is back, signifying that I am at 5 consecutive days of logging in to GT6. I will run Seasonals or Arcade Mode Time Trials to test some tunes and all will be fine, for a while... This has been happening for hours now!

I'm not a big gamer. I only play GT6. Does this just happen from time to time? I have a rock solid internet connection. My PS3 is connected by Cat-5e cable to the router. Even my laptop, which is wireless, gets 8ms pings from speedtest.net...I seriously doubt it's anything on my end.

Any ideas? Anyone else having problems like this?

Never had this before.
Me either. If it happened once or twice - no big deal. I'd figure they were working on servers or something and I got bumped. But it's been doing this for hours. I've even left GT6 turned on while I went out for dinner and when I came back I was no longer showing the number 5 on my login counter.

What's weirder, at least to me, is that I'm still connected to PSN -- I can still see my PS3 friends. But I can't get that number 5 to come back unless I quit the game and restart it, which I do, of course, because I want those extra credits!

Did you update the console ? ... Theres an update.

I've had this, when there was maintenance on the servers.
Login bonus was 5x, did a race, got just 100% payout, wanted to start a season event, nope.
Logged into GTP and read that there was maintenance.
But that was months ago.
Just tried, login, a-spec beginner, i get the 200%.
Sorry, mayby your ISP has some issues, or did somebody changed something in your router settings?

Anyway, good luck. hope it solves itself.

It's just random disconnects from PD's server, not PSN. It happens to me now and then too. You should not have to quit then game in order to reconnect tho, just go back out to the home screen, then enter and exit the seasonal section once again and it should reconnect and bring back your login bonus counter.

👍

Same here.
During the play I get a message box in the right upper corner of the screen telling me that I'm disconnected from the server. No big deal now since I'm always at 49 to 50 mill credits, but pretty disturbing when you need them ...:D

This happens to me occasionally, I usually just go to do an online race then back out to the menu when it reconnects to the server.

Yep, it happens when you get disconnected from the server. Seems like it's the server that keeps track of how many days in a row you've been logged in, so when you get disconnected the game can't access that data anymore.

It's strange. If I exit out to the main menu and then try to go back into Seasonal Events it just spins it's wheels for several minutes. I've only ever waited about 4-5 minutes and then I usually hit the PS button and select Quit Game.
