Disconnected from server

Ive played GT from day one, I play gt more then any other game, but now its becoming a joke in online racing Disconnected from server in just about every on line race I enter, my broadband has been checked and its ok, Gt is the only game I get disconnected from server from, its happening that often its starting putting me of playing it. Will Gt be sorting this problem out, I read online hundreds of people if not more keep on getting disconnected from server.

I get it all the time, 2 or 3x in one night is typical.

Sad to say, I have to agree. Been through the exercise of checking everything on my side and ensuring all is in top working order. Opened the ports in the firewall and running a wired connection ... cleared the cache every disconnect etc etc ad ifinitum all to no avail. Every race someone drops out or the lag ruins someone's race. Really rare to have a race from start to finish without some sort of network related error. Strangely enough, the races with the best indicators for a strong connection tend to be the least stable rooms?? I keep going offline to complete another piece of the career mode but I'm at 97% now so there isn't much more to do other than trying to improve licence times or grind some more cash. Its really disappointing, because we all get occasional glimpses of how good the online racing can be and then another error occurs to ruin that experience. Sony, PD please fix as soon as. It's not as though the servers are overrun with competitors (on the Euro/Aus rooms at least).

Can't say iv had a problem tbh, set up your PS3 with a static IP and put the IP in a dmz zone on router... should work fine then

Second part you need to google your router settings etc

Something is going on with GT Server. I never get disconnected and today I was disconnected several times. About 15 minutes ago I was disconnected form the GT Server and it says I'm not connected to PSN. I am connected. Going to try rebooting PS3.

Nope:
- Rebooting GT6 didn't work.
- Rebooting PSN didn't work.
- Rebooting PS3 didn't work.
- PS3 and PSN work fine.

Must be GT Server issue.

25-30 minutes later I was able to use online features again...

I am positive this is an issue with PD. A full room of people was disconnected from a league race last night, one after another. It also happened to another room a friend of mine was in.

My net isn't the best, and I hardly ever experience disconnections. I don't understand, really, how or why you guys have this problem.

PD still can't fix their server issues like what?, 5-6 years?

Last night at 9:02 pm central time my room with about 13 people all got booted. I started seeing people go one after the other and then I went.

I got an error message when the game tried to connect to the lobby server.

A couple of minutes later I was able to restart the room, and there were no more problems for the rest of the night.

Exact same for us!
I did not get the message though, however I went to public lobby list and there were still several room with 12-16 people in them!

Could certain servers have hiccups?

No error message = magic button use.

cheers guys for all your replys, I will try your threads, but surely this shouldn't be happening like it is, Hope they sort it before they lose players.

There's issues with PD's servers. I don't play online but until about 3 or 4 days ago, everything worked fine and then I get "disconnected from server" message or similar at least once a session...yesterday I go the "cannot connect to the server" on starting GT6 but when I got to the home page I clicked seasonals, then backed out to home page and it gave me my login bonus message. The disconnection message occurs in both GT6 and GT5 (I play both daily)....GT5 it happens while I'm running seasonal races, GT6 it happens when in Arcade mode. My internet is fine and working properly and this didn't happen at all until the last few days

I gave up trying to play GT online disconnection became a joke , and you shouldn't have to play around with your router in order to try and get it to work if every thing else on your connection is fine, its a GT server fault end of.
