I think braces are cute. And sometimes a rubber band just doesn't cut it. My wife had to have 6 teeth removed and 6 years of braces to get perfect teeth. Was it expensive? Yeah. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
I, on the other hand, have needed braces for a long time but just couldn't be bothered, my teeth really aren't wonky enough to warrant it. I also only have one tooth removed which I did myself after plenty of alcohol.

Yeah, that is a terrible idea. That girl they featured has some jacked up teeth.
If you have a small gap, 95% of the time it will go away on its own as the molars descend. Most people arent Michael Strahan. Teeth migrate forwards. It's better to have a gap than crowding

I feel I saw this on the news (CNN) a few months back, and how frowned upon it was. I certainly wouldn't do it nor trust it no matter how well the results turned out.
