Quentin Tarantino's next big movie. Starring Will Smith Jamie Foxx as a former slave turned bounty hunter. It has the makings to be very violent and including Christoph Waltz should now be a QT requirement. It's good to see that Quentin is bringing an A-Team (when doesn't he?).

The writer/director's revenge-driven "Southern" would feature Foxx as Django, a freed American slave who teams with a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to save his wife from Calvin Candie, an evil plantation owner (to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio).

I think it will be interesting because Tarantino is taking a compeltely different approach. All the films he has made have really been an homage to the films he watched as a boy - KILL BILL is a tribute to martial arts films, whilst INGLORIOUS BASTERDS is pitched as a "men on a mission" film. And while DJANGO UNCHAINED is a tribute to DJANGO and westerns in general, a lot of Tarantino's comments have reflected his emphasis on the themes; he says he really wants to address issues like slavery in a way that has never been done before, and dress it up under the guise of a western (he calls it a "southern"). I'm not to big on Jamie Foxx, but Waltz should be good and I'm looking forward to seeing DiCaprio as a villain.
