Nice stuff! Just a thought, maybe after the cockpit run 1 lap, you could show the same lap from the replay cam. Just so they can see what it looks like. It's nice of you to take your time to do this.

Thanks for the responses...unfortunately the replays were shot before the last update...so those replays are now long gone...I do have around 45-50 minutes of content that were shot...Maybe I will slowly release them all...and I lol at myself when I pause too...it's not that easy to talk while drifting:dopey:

Nice videos Dking! I haven't really tried drifting in GT5P but I used to drift so much in GT4, I used a WRX STi. It was white, it was really low and had a lot of horsepower.

(low quality)

great demonstration for those struggling with countersteer

This is what I know for countersteering: As you're going through a turn, you align your front wheels with the road (or a driving line). If you start to lose your angle, you steer into the turn a little bit just to get some more oversteer

but what I'm having problems with is that either:
1. My car goes into the inside too much rather than fixing the angle or
2. I spin out

Is my throttle control the problem or my technique...? :dunce:

and also, does throttle control help with staying in the drift around a smooth turn?

It's hard to say what you are doing wrong...What drivetrain? Throttle input is really important when trying to be smooth...Because drifting is so dynamic it is hard to pinpoint a single flaw in technique...Just go practice and the more u slide the more you will feel what a car can and can not do...just go from their keep at it!

well, I'm pretty squared away with AWDs but I've got this problem with RWDs usually

If that's the case then your throttle control is what you need to work on....AWD you can just throw and gas like i explained in the subaru vid...Rwd takes a little more throttle control.

so i have a question. I was drifting in a GT concept tuned EVO IX GRS today. I did some decent drift but sometime my car just doesn't seen like it moving forward when i want to exit the drift. Sometime it just slide like a mothereffer. I used N2 Tire in the rear and S1 tire in the front for this car which works the best for me imo. Do you enter the corner at a higher gear then downshift while your car is drifting to get the throttle to throw up?

So yeah I was hoping to get a little advice in this. Sometime when i use feint drifting my car just keep on sliding sideway instead of pulling forward? What is going on? Even though my throttle and my idle wasn't at red or too low was alway around 5k-6k rpm on idle but the car just seen like it doesn't want to pull forward just keep on sliding.

wow!! that was impressive dking. =) I have one question for you though, were you using the DFGT or a G25 cause i saw you engaged neutral for a moment in the hairpin turn at suzuka. So yea im just wondering.

Awesome video
Loved the music as well. That is my favourite song by AKFG.

I didn't realise the F40 made a good drift car .
