Hi guys,

This is the first time I've ventured here (I can usually be found in the GT 2 forum). So I better give you some background I guess.

I've just got my XBOX 360 up and running again (yay!), after having it out of action for three years or so. Growing up and not being a teenager anymore, and having a job etc etc meant it kinda took a back foot...

I have FM2 and FM3. 2 is still great, but the 3 disc won't play, thanks to a massive scratch on the download disc. God knows how that got there, considering it's been collecting dust in a draw since 2011 :banghead: It was Christmas present from my Dad, and I'm well naffed off because I get sentimental about these things!

Before I put it in a little Forza coffin and bury it in the garden and buy FM4, I want to know this: can I get the DLC stuff on there without joining XBOX live?
Annoyingly, most of my favorite cars are DLC only. Is it possible to buy these packs online without a Microsoft account or XBOX LIVE, put them on a usb stick and transfer them to my XBOX?

Sorry if this all sounds n00bish but I've been out of the loop for a while now.... :dunce:

Cheers!

I think Forza 3 Ultimate Platinum Hits might be what you're looking for. Admittedly, I never owned FM3 at all so I'm not entirely sure *all* DLC packs are included.

I believe you would have to join Live to download the DLC. But I know you can get it on the free Silver level and it will work offline once downloaded. Also at this point I think if you really wanted to you can pickup FM4 for $20 and the car pass for $30 for half the DLC and it's $10 per pack for the last 6.

Thanks for that! It's stuff the BMW 8 series and Volvo 850R I'm most keen on...

I hope they make a forza 4: ultimate "kinda" edtion like forza 3 (that is all the dlc minus 3 packs so its not REALLY ultimate)

Forza has a weird habbit of doing dlc, forza 2 had a "complete" only in USA forza 3 had a "near complete" version forza 4 has nothing. Is it so much to just do "full" versions of forza 2 3 and 4? Especilly now its impossible to get forza 2 and 3 dlc on the marketplace.

I recently got Forza 4, but damn... It will be a lot of money to get all the DLC. At least $60. Even though it's more expensive to buy cars separately, at the end, you might save a bit if you only buy the ones you want (as long as you don't buy them all like this). But hey, at least you can get like 10 cars for free. Two are really good: the SRT Viper GTS and the F10 BMW M5! Huge gift since I'm a BMW and Viper fan :D And no; I don't have an Xbox Live thing whatever it's called. As far as I've heard that's only to play online.

I still don't know how stuff works on the Xbox. Don't know what card I should buy to get stuff on the Xbox Store. There are cards that have these so-called "points" and others that are just like the PSN cards, with $20, $50 and such denominations.

Oh, and in the case you haven't bought it yet, make sure to stay away from the "essentials" version. Buying Forza 4 can be kind of tricky. It's better if you go to a store and buy it personally, making sure it's the two-disc game without the "Essentials" at the front, bellow the Ferrari. I've seen a lot of people buying Forza 4 at full price online and getting the incomplete game.

@HuskyGT I'm pretty sure that Microsoft did away with the points system and switched it over to actual money. I'm not even sure what'll happen if you purchase those points cards and try to redeem the code.
