I have a problem with Mitsubishi WD-65731 and 2007 PS3 80GB. It overscanning my TV by half inches off whole screen. I tried everything like reset PS3 through 2 different HDMI cables, changing all resolution even at 1080p, and nothing on TV menu like "Disable Overscan".

How I fixing that darn overscan problem?

I have the same problem with 720p on my Phillips. Choosing PC Mode under image settings (might be somewhere else on your TV) works for me and makes a 0% cut off. 👍

It's a problem with your display and generally the lower end displays and TVs don't have an option to get rid of it. Make sure to look for a setting called "Just scan" "Full scan" or something like that on your TV. Some monitors also use PC mode like Dean suggested.

If you scour through your display's settings and find nothing then I'm afraid you can't do anything else. The PS3 doesn't have a setting to eliminate overscan on a system level, but some games (like GT5) do, which helps a little.

I've had adjust my hd crt tvs in the service menus to get them to display hd content without overscan.

It's an absolute must to note original values though as some people have messed around with their settings and not been able to go back, ruining their sets. There is no reset.

You should be able to a net search for a remote code to get in to the service menu of your particular display.
