Do I need Live to access a race replay?

Hey fellas,

I got Forza 4 the other day (I've never played any of the others) and have read on the net that you can watch the replays of your race, but I can never seem to find the option to do so...

So I was wondering - do you need xbox live to watch them? Or if not where is the option to watch them?

No you don't, atleast when I was silver I could even see other people's replays on theyr SF.

Wait, you don't have LIVE..... I think you need a HDD in order to look at them... but why don't you just try?

The option should be there once you finish a race to save the replay, to find it again go to My Profile < Media < My Replays.

I see no reason why this wouldn't work without XBL.

OK I just had a spare minute and had a look. I did a world tour event and a free run 'hot lap', the only options listed were: continue, restart, leader boards (which you can't access without live) and race results - but no option for replay.

I went to 'my profile', and the option to view my replays was there, however when I selected it, it said I had to save them post-race...

It's one of the new slim ones, the 4gb one - I've got a 750gb external thing plugged into it, although I can only use 16gb of it for some stupid reason...

In which case, I don't know why the replay option won't show up. It works fine on my (2009) 250GB Elite, so I would have thought your 750GB would work fine. Someone else will probably know more about the problem. Sorry I couldn't help much.

You need to play off the existing hard drive so it can Cache replays to it. Does not save replays on external devices or MS 360 USB sticks in my case.
Lame, but true.

That sucks! The internal 4gb isn't enough to hold all the stuff from the disc! Is it possible to get more internal memory?

You can buy 250GB hard drives made by Microsoft.
