While playing GT5, I drink tea, coffee, water, juice, or the occasional soda. I never drink alcohol or use any drugs other than caffeine or prescription meds. I never drive a real car under the influence of any drugs other than caffeine or my prescription meds.

^ LOL thats me any more aside from prescriptions(as i have none). Its just a good habit to make sure you dont get to confident behind the wheel while drunk, virtual or otherwise.

I love me some single malt scotch during a few late night laps with some friends from across the pond. I honestly bet it helps with some of the crazier challenges since your a little looser. (Won my last gold license test after 3 beers one late night.) Of course nothing at all if I'm even considering lighting up my real engine within the next couple hours.

I drink and drive... but I never drink alcohol while doing so. And even though I am a passionate smoker I can never smoke and drive, on GT5 nor in reality. GT5 got me used to having 2 hands on the steering wheel so I don't really like driving one handed, besides, disposing of the ash from the cigarette makes me look away from the road therefore it's no good (for me at least).

When my wife started beating me at Tsukuba by almost a second I knew I had had WAY too much...

(Disclaimer: I was using the shifter and heel-toeing no aids, while she drove with all aids maxed out in automatic)

Lol, funny replays.

My wife used to give me some serious competition on Complex String

and on topic... I usually have a beer or two when I get home but I usually don't turn on the ps3 until the family has hit the sack and the alcohol has worn off... I have drifted while pretty buzzed and I found myself going in really hot yet still hitting the apexes ... good times... I love to take a cruise around 4:20(no matter what time it actually is)💡

funny how careful you are, yet you smoke. its kind of like christian astro physicists, its an oxymoron.

im 22 and have never smoked or drank , not even once, blame it all on my college science profs.

On fm3 a group of friends and myself used to do what was dubbed the 10 shot race as the finale for the night. Basically it was the last race of the night, we would pick a track that had about 2-3 minute laps such as Suzuka, Mugello or twin ring motegi. First lap is done as normal but when you cross the starting line you pull over to the side, pour a shot of liquor and then continue. After about lap 5-6 you really start seeing the results. Only major rules where don't use the pit as your shot time and have fun. Anyone do stuff like this on gt5? Could be fun after a serious night of racing. :D

 That's a differing idea for racing

Yea it was actually really fun. Most of us where extremely competitive racers. 4 out of the 6 racers where in the top 100 on leader board lap times. This was kind of a brake from it all to remember why we play the game.

Also, if we felt good that day we would include that whoever is leading the lap, they take a double shot. That kept racing really close for those pile up moments where you just laugh and laugh.

Wow I don't think I could do that. Maybe back when I was 18 and drinkin' everyday, but not anymore it would probably kill me. :P

A couple of buddies and I would play "drunken Mario Kart" a couple years ago in our apartment at college. We had to finish an entire beer within a 3 lap race. I absolutely suck at taking beers down fast (mostly because I hate the taste of it). Thing is, we raced against each other AND the computer players (set on the hardest difficulty, 150 cc). Most of the time we finished in the back half of the pack. But somehow I did manage to win a race overall, even over the computer players. Fun times. :D
