Do You Ever Just Suck?

Sometimes it drives me crazy how I can't beat my best time when I know it is totally possible. I've been doing this comp. on another site and was doing awesome for like a week, beating my best almost every day. Now I'm against a wall. I can't get a good lap in to save my life. Really pisses me off. And when I do have a good one going I blow it with some stupid error that just baffles me.

The same is happening for Davey's Weekly Race. My best time on Seattle was like 1:22.XXX in the EvoIV. I can't beat that in a [R]Supra this week?!

Does that ever happen to you?

Happened a lot in the lisence tests. I'd do some really fast times, less than a hundreth off gold or something, and then I'd do really poo ones, just scrapping bronzes. It could get really frustrating sometimes.

Yeah, lately...I can't make the final hairpin at Midfield for the life of me.

Not sure why, maybe because I'm flogging all sorts of wierd cars through the turn (muscle cars, old stuff, cars with normal tires).

Hey, we all get days where we just stink. That's when I hop in the Unisia Jecs for a race or two to easily beat the AI.

Quite frequently in licenses. I'll start off so close to Gold. 4 attempts later Silver. 5 attempts later Bronze. 2 attempts later FAIL.

I'm glad it's not just me. Maybe I need to stop pursuing the same car track combos and try something different for a while. Davey's weekly race is down the toilet for me anyway. And I chose the race!

Yeah, sometimes I drive like a cow. But then sometimes I can pepper a time, and then suddenly go a second faster, so it's swings and roundabouts I guess...

I actually suck when i'm concentrating too hard on trying to get a fast time.

I relax and take the corners at the max grip of the tires and take a few different lines to see where I would get a better exit speed.

Just relax one time and just race through the track.

I sometimes surprise myself driving really good times when I'm actually not focussed, thinking about something else, I guess you could call it on automatic pilot.

I guess when I beat a record it is almost always within the first few (5) laps. If I haven't done it by then, I probably wont.

Sometimes I wonder if I,ve lost my touch a little. Not as good as I use to be. But there are days when I beat one of my old records or really improved with a car I was not too hot in a couple months before.

I go into auto a lot in the enduro races. O the last lap of Seattle in a GT40, I did a 1:29.8 when my previous fastest lap was a 1.30:4.

I also do really stupid things when I'm trying to catch someone who's faster than me.
