Do you give your car(s) a name?

I've given a name to every car I've ever owned. Useually within 2 days or less, but once or twice it took 4-5 weeks to find a name that fits her. BTW my cars are always women.

'73 Pontiac Ventura (chevy nova clone)-- 350ci big block (yes they make those)--her name was BETSY.

'77 Chevy Malibu-- small block 305ci--her name MATILDA.

'86 Olds Torinado Troffeo'--3.8liter V6--her name CEILI.

'95 Jeep Cherokee sport--4.0liter HO-- her name SPLENDORA.
my wife named the Jeep.

Pretty funny:)

Do you still own the Pontiac Ventura? Because there's a GTP member that owns a Nova with approx 3000 (yes, 3 thousand) hp! Whoa!

Well, ummm, I call the 323 "the 3" (like Mazda 6)

My dad calls the RX-7 "7"

That's about it...we like thier original names.

Been very guilty of this.

First car, a '76 Corolla, was nicknamed 'Barney' - after Dr Christian Barnard, the South African surgeon who performed the first heart transplant - I put a new motor in Barney when I got him.

Then there was 'Stacey' the white '88 Magna wagon, named after Mike Stacey, the guy at Mitsubishi who designed that car. The car was also known as 'Fanny' as the rego plate started with 'FNY'. I had this car when I met my partner.

The silver '98 Vectra we had was Campbell - I initially called it 'Little Silver Rocket' which abbreviated to LSR - which also stands for 'Land Speed Record', which lead to Donald Campbell, hence the name. No need to point out Donald was actually chasing the Water Speed Record, thanks.

And so, to the current car, known as BB Double S - for Big Blue Super Sube (Sube being Subaru).

It's sad, I know - but we do spend an awful lot of time in our cars, and, well, to be frank, we are both a bit silly (important to have things in common, I think).

I haven't really named any (but certain cars in my college days, especially, were often referred to by names that I probably shouldn't post). They've all seemed to have unique personalities, though. That's probably odd, but they seemed to.

Nothing odd about that at all :D

Never named any of mine (I've had 4) but a buddy always came up with goofy names for his cars. He had an oldsmobile station wagon that he called the Oldsmobubble, "bubble" for short. He also had a chevy celebrity which was dubbed the "celibelly".

Also a Ford Topaz which we called the "zapot" (topaz backwards)

Come to think of it, he's had nothing but crap beaters! :D:D:D

Mate of mine had a pale pink mid 60's Toyota Corona (three on the tree - column shift - manual) as his first car.

It's name was 'Earl' - after the father dinosaur in the TV series 'Dinosaurs' which was big at the time. Seemed to really fit the car.

our jag is named COLINDA is the buissness name it comes from my name Colin and my wifes name Linda
