Do You Want to Rally on Dirt Next Week?

I'm on the fence. The Time Trial update is a nice one, and gives us a chance for a great dirt event in week 30, even though it's coming off of a tricky AWD car in a tarmac rally.

So I'm putting it to a vote. Simple - Yes, I want to rally on the dirt next week, or no, I plan to run as long as we are on tarmac.

Will close voting sometime tomorrow morning in my time zone (GMT-8) so in 18-20 hours.

Registry members only please (The reason it's public), and Lefty only gets one vote.

Sorry but I voted no. Dirt driving in GT5 is even less realistic than in GT4 to me and I just don't like it. But please don't let that spoil the fun for all the rest of you fruitcakes

Either works for me, desperately want to test out my new G27 (considering my absence the past few weeks because of a super hectic work schedule). I'll vote at some point during the night.

However if it was a snow/ice rally, I'd be all over it like popcorn and candy on the floor after a disney movie.

Snow/ice is unbelievable fun, possibly has to do with the fact of living in the north US for most of my life...either way GT really does need more snow/ice support in their seasonal events.

And I agree 100%, I much prefer SRF off in every situation...

I voted 'Yes' but I don't mind which we do to be honest.... just racing on dirt is a different challenge and we've only done it once so far. It'd be a nice change I think.

EDIT: My only request if I were to be allowed one is that the car to be used could be something a bit different than one of the WRC cars in the game. A premium car with appropriate tuning - maybe even RWD!!!

I voted Yes. I'm absolutely terrible at rally, but no better way to learn than by doing it and getting tips from the WRS community. Scared to actually quantify just how bad I am at it though... the leader board won't lie and whisper sweet nothings in my ear. Or maybe Joost has figured out how to make fetchie do that too.

I like to keep things changed up. So it's what I said in the first post, we're basically doing a rally event this week, and it will have to be followed by another, if I want to use the online TT event that forces SRF to OFF.

I think the only negative that I can remember is that it was a little surprising that the grass on the edges of Toscana had more grip than the gravel. Other than that, the DFGT feels like it's going to fall apart on gravel rallies, so I just use the DS3. Some people unplugged the power to their wheels too.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Lefty will be going ape-🤬 and probably get gold in D3. 👍
