Same as PSN but I dont use it.
I'm one of those people who uses driving aids just to start a drift better.
I like to drift with driving aids because its alot more fun for me.
Please tell me if you drift or (why dont you drift) with driving aids.

Dont tell me that its stupid..... also, dont tell me that I cant drift with driving aids. I already know....... I'm going to try with out driving aids later

Oh.. and.........Loon, this is were our descusion continues.

I'll be honest with you, when I first got into drifting in GT4, I did use the AIDs. I figured why the hell shouldn't I if it makes drifting easier for me. When I'd take them off I would understeer all over the place, I hated it, so I kept the aids. Slowly, but surely, I kinda weened myself off of them, and soon realized that they really didn't help, they only held me back.

So my real advice to you, would be to continue using the aids, just every now and then, when you feel ready, lower it a bit. Eventually you'll get to zero and you'll be able to drift without them.👍

My philosophy has always been: if it works for you, use it!

Personally, no...i don't use driving aids for drifting..i don't see how it's even possible, to be honest. But if you're able to use them, i dont' see what harm it is...they only hurt your abilities in the long run, though. My opinion is you'll eventually do better without them as you get better at the game, but (as i said) have fun and keep them ON if that's what works best for you.

No aids.

As the others have said, they will only hold you back in the long run. However, as Parnelli stated, if you find it more fun that way, by all means continue.

;)

I think I know now why do I use ASM(Underrsteer) to 20. Ever since I saw "The Fake Driving Simulator" thread from "Blitz"(I think) video, I've been thinking of something....and......
.....Do you remember when he said that the wheel spin has no efect on your turning?(We all know its true). When you use the asm udersteer to 20, that
"effect" thing is no effected no more when your drifting. So when your drifting in any other game with drifting settings on a car
(like Forzamotorsport) its prety much the same gt4 with asm udersteer to 20.

If you try to do some NORMAL fast driving in a drifting car with drifting settings and asm(undeersteer) to 20 in gt4, you will or might start a drift at the ending of the curve. And it is the same in forza if you take of the TCS and STM, when your in time attack mode.

Do you guys get my point?

I'm struggling to get it...not sure cuz i havent' tried Forza Motorsport, yet. Nor have i tried driving with ASM on anything higher than default. Nor have i tried drifting at all with Driving Aids on....

Or how about, instead of forza is NFS uderground 1 when your drifting you take the stability control off.

Forza Drifting is way different than GT or NFS.Not defending either game but the controlling physics in Forza is hard to work out but like GT it all depends on the settings. NFSU series don't even consider the settings, in fact drifting in NFSU is like drifting on a oil infested road . I don't or we don't recommend AIDS because you probably won't have it in real life and it doesn't motivate you or innovate you through various settings choices and tire choices. Also putting AIDS on cars makes all the cars act the same, which isn't fun. Though you get the angle that is need and more than the speed than you wanted with aids but just don't over do it with the horse power.

well yeah, because then you'll have to seek out better health insurance cuz the drugs cost so much. And then right-wingers will start to think your car got AIDS from being in a gay bath-house, because they believe HIV is a "gay" disease, which is such a narrow-minded viewpoint.

sorry. bad jokes. :yuck:

Cool. This makes sense.
