does anyone here know if the ps4 is backwards compatible with ps3?

Hi I would like to sell my ps3 if its backwards compatible because gran turismo 6 might be coming to the ps3 and I am keeping gran turismo 5 and possible 6 if it comes out if I sell my ps3. The reason I wanna sell my ps3 is because I don't have enough money for the ps4.

They are saying. no not directly. A ps4 won't be able to play ps3 discs but you will be able to download ps3 games IIRC.
