Does everyone have marching ants?

I was looking through the changes for 1.06 and it seems several graphics issues have been fixed (better smoke, cleaner shadows, curves like wheel arches are less jagged).
But the one thing that still bugs the heck out of me is the marching ants.
If you aren't familiar with that term, it refers to the white-to-black flickering that prominently appears in areas such as the gaps in body panels. One of the places this is easiest to see is the Tuning and Maintenance screen.
At first, I thought it might be a problem with GT5, but since they improved those other areas of display issues, I thought they would have addressed this one at the same time.
So that means either they just haven't tried to fix it yet, or the PS3 hardware is incapable of properly displaying such areas, or my TV is not properly displaying it. I am running on a 720p TV right now, so I wanted to see if everyone seems this issue, or whether it might be me.
So, do you get the marching ants around the body panels? And what TV resolution are you running?

Thanks all.

I have the same problem. I noticed it a lot on the licence tests when the camera would pan around the car on a standing start. I have been able to minimize the problem by reducing the brightness of the display from Brilliant(or game mode), to Normal.

By the way the TV is a 2009 73" DLP from Mits running at 1080p. I'll check tonight to see if this update did anything regarding the "ants" problem.

Viper, is your 720p TV a DLP? I was wondering if the "ants" problem was related to the DLP technology.

i never noticed the problem... but i did notice the better smoke... an R8 LMS lost control in front of me on the Nurburgring and the stuff was just billowing out from behind the car... like extra thick... and then when my ZR1s back end stepped out in the 100 mph banked corner on the high speed ring.. same thing..
