Nope my Partner is not bothered she just half the time play's nintendogs when i am playing gt. I am getting the 3DS soon so she will just be as happy to play that while i work on Gt5. But she does think she would be quicker than me around the top gear test track i might see if that is true and do a fair race in the elise 06 Race ready version it's got superb handling.

She does get loads of attention though so she is always happy to let me play gt5 and games

The biggest problem that my girlfriend and I have is the amount of time we spend together. She is extroverted and needs to be with other people to feel safe and comfortable. I'm extremely introverted and need lots of alone time for the same reason.

To make things work we both had to compromise a little (she spends less time with me than she wants, I get less alone time than I want). It works well now but at first it was a problem because I think she felt that my desire for free time meant I implicitly didn't want to be with her, and therefore those things I use to occupy my free time (i.e. GT5) were competing with her for my attention. And to be fair I felt that her desire to be with me all the time was an (unfair) assumption that she wanted to monitor everything I was doing.

It's amazing what a little open communication will do for a relationship.

I have to share the PS3 with my son,im lucky that i finish work at 12.00,so i can play before he gets back from school. My 2 days off are tues+weds so i can play all day if i want to,my wife got me the best present ever! a G27 with a Wheel Stand Pro,ive only had it 2 days, loving it so far, think ive got the best wife ever!!!!

My ex used to get angry about me playing games when she wasn't even there. For example she used to get in a fit because it took me longer to reply to her on MSN when playing games when i had just spent the whole day with her. She used to turn it into arguments most times. Now i can play all i want however which suits me fine.

I bought another ps3 and flatscreen TV to play GT5 on... So that the misses can play black ops at the same time on the other one 👍

She questions why I use b-spec in the background... women eh? lol

My girlfriend loves GT5 just as much as I do. To all of you guys who say that your girls get mad at you and even go as far as breaking the game, you should seriously consider getting a girl that isn't a complete freakin buzzkill

She's my wife of over 12yrs., she'll get over it. Heck, I spoil her to death anyway! She doesn't even have to have a job unless she wants to have one!

Im sure this has been said before in this thread, but if you value video games over your significant other, you need help and or guidance to the way the world goes around.

Not at all... since I don't have any girlfriend :(

Would like to have one though... :( really really like to have one...

I haven't played GT5--or even PS3--in over two weeks, and I don't see any chances in my immediate schedule that I'll have a moment to play. Work and school full-time, I'd rather spend my [fleeting] free time with the lovely lady than running hot laps on Cape Ring.

This is why when you marry, the woman you'll marry KNOWS about your hobbies? Not particular to GT5, but aside from games, guns, photography, I also work on my car (as well as with friends) and I've had more than my fair share of all-nighters. Before we were married, she was upset about the amount of time I spent on cars but I told her, "Would you rather me be out with another woman or take comfort in knowing that I'm right here and not going anywhere?" I told her she's more than welcomed to join in my hobbies and in fact, she has. We both race in a local kart-league, she plays airsoft with me, and she's raced online with some of my car-friends. I wouldn't marry someone who doesn't respect my hobbies. This was a few years ago and things are very much supportive now.

well for me no gf, 17 years old living with parents i aint got that problem lmao.
But seriously take a break man, spend some time with your wife?
Or do what i did to stop playing gt5 ...
TRAIN MY Brother to do it for me hahaha!

Since buying GT5 I have seriously struggled to maintain a relationship beyond one sentence with any other human being. So no change there at all:sly:
(Self Deprecating humour for you there)

Dude, if there was just a B-spec "Bob takes the wife to dinner" option...
I don't think she'd be impressed...
