Does oil change and overhaul really improve anything?

Just wondering if they did , i heard someone saying that when you overhaul the engine your HP goes up after time , but what about for the oil change ?

Breaking in an engine will bring up the HP and also before you use it or put miles onit take the new car to GT Auto for an oil change will give you anywhere from 10 to 30 HP extra... :) Just check for yourself if you dont believe.... Buy a new car from the dealership... check the HP then go get an oil change and it'll be slightly higher 👍

Oil change should be the first thing you do after buying a car - do it before changing parts, as once I got my Evo III to 250HP for the first rally challenge, changed oil and it went up to 262HP, lol.

I had a low mileage NSX Type R 02. I had stage 3 tuning on it and it was running at 430hp. I went in for an oil change. BOOM 460 hp!

I bought a Lancer for a rally in which it couldn't have more than 245 HP, I bought one with 244 and after an oil change I was showing 256HP

I've got the Mercedes Stealth car and I was using it a ton (it beats darned near anything in the game :dopey: ). After quite a few races I noticed it was really down on power so I had the engine overhauled and the chassis stiffened or whatever. Definitely made a big difference.

Every used car I've bought has had black oil. I cant give you an exact number on how much HP you'll gain in a specific car, but dirty oil is never good. Change it!

My R34 had 773hp fully tuned with oilchange, drove it for a long time then rebuilt the engine.. now it has 797hp, so yes it gives a few horsepowers extra!

I had an Evo IV which I bought new, tuned it to the top and it was showing 480bhp, then after driving it for ages I rebuilt the engine and now it's up to 507bhp. That dropped back below 500 not long ago, rebuilt the engine again and it went back to 507, so I don't think it'll keep increasing.

The MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V fully tuned will go close to 1040hp, I ran it in about 200miles of B-spec races and the hp was down to 978.... got the ol'trusty oil change and it popped right back up to 1040.

:) Cheers for that, didn't even think of this doing anything.
