Does the clutch work in gts?

Hello,

Now i got my new logitech shifter, it works fine i can shift gearels with it, but my clutch pedal is for nothing, is in gts only automatic clutch or is it possible to turn it of?

It works, but the simulation of it is a bit lacking as it is simply a on/off function.

Cars that use manual clutch in real life can use the clutch, you just need to step on the pedal

Needless to say, you wont get it to work with paddle cars

Thank you very much for your answer. I tried it with other cars and it worked as you described it.. Thanks aggain. Later i will test it in PC and AC. Is the simulation of it better in thoose games?

In Project cars the clutch works much better then in GTS. More like you'll expect a clut h to work. Not sure about AC though, it's been a while since I played that.

AC is very mechanical feeling...you actually get a sense that there is something engaging and disengaging. GTS would be perfect if they simulated the clutch as AC does.

Finaly i had time to test how it wokrs in AC and the clutch works very fine. But.. I dont know what i am doing wrong, i couldnt get the logitech shifter to work in AC. Please help me with that. I sett autom. gears off, autom. cluth off and autom. blipp off, but i think the game dont recognize the shifter because it doesnt shift gears...

On the clutch. The GTS implementation really is shocking.

Using H Shifter, I can change clutchlessly with no issue UNTIL I use the clutch for a single change (you know - just for a bit of fun!) From that point onwards in the race, it seems like the game expects clutch input in order to change gears and in fact it won't let me change clutchlessly. Actually it can be an almighty struggle to get the car back into gear. I think it wants me to put the car back into the gear that it was in when I last used the clutch. Definitely glitchy.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Its a real shame 'cos I really am loving using the logitech H Shifter. Even on cars that have paddles in real life. The stick feels like real driving. I've never owned an Auto car

@CustomX I’m usuing G29 & shifter. Seems like the only time I can get the clutch to work is after a spin and the car stalls/quits. It seems to get the car going and out of 1st a lot faster.

Fyi, that and grid starts is the only thing I use the clutch for. During races, just jam it in what gear ya want!
