I had mine for about 6 months or more, and I didn't notice any problems. I would have kept it had I not purchased a Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S.

;)

I only use my DFGT on GT4 and the FFB is quite mild..a little too mild alot of the time. I don't know what GT5P is like but I don't think it would be possible for it to start malfunctioning from the FFB. The overall build quality of the wheel is good as well..not as good as the G25 but good for the price you can get them for. I have heard of problem's with the DFGT pedals but I haven't had any yet. I hope this answer's your question. Cheers, Cougar23

I can't see any Logitech wheel mailfunctioning easily-ive had an original Driving Force for 6-7 years and it is near faultless and the only reason the pedal cable is not working properly is because someone stepped on it!! Also my DFGT has so far been faultless and feels very well built!

Hmm... I haven't got a DFGT, but I did have a DF and a DFPro – the (mainly) plastic pedals of both broke. The DFGT ones look to be based on the same design.

Fine if you have kids using it, but any adult who "brakes" with sort of the forces you would use on a real car under heavy braking will not help its longevity!

In contrast, the metal G25 pedals are worlds better.

But they all seem to suffer from a "sticking" brake problem – including the G25:

I'm very tempted to go for a Fanatec for my next cockpit – but will see how the early adaptors get on first.

My df gt just broke on me last night. I've had it for 3 months..drifting violently almost every night for about 4 hours....Force feeback on 6 and I was drifting in prologue then it got stiff and un responsive. It won't boot up aka calibrate itself anymore. I smelt a burning smell so I unplugged it...grrrr I loved this wheel.

The same here, broken pedals on Logitech DF and DFGT. My DFPro pedals in one piece but not working properly (the well known brake pedal problem).

The DFGT wheel, shortly after i start using the full FF, started an clanking noise but still working properly.
