Does the Logitech G25's wheel turn smoother than the DFP wheel?

One of the problems that I had with the Logitech Driving force Pro is that it is really loud when it turns and it is too hard to turn, to the point of being unrealistic. Does anyone know if the G25's wheel turns any smoother and is quieter than the DFP wheel? Thanks in advance for any reponses. :)

I don´t own a DFP but I have both G25 and Momo Racing Force and the G25 is much quiter than the Momo.

I bought a DFP in July and I will not change it for a G25 i doubt its worth it as i wouldnt use the H shifter anyways and some people say the Gear Stick is a bit cheap or something about being weak when changing gears and feels unrealistic when going into Neutral?
But i might be wrong the G25 could be worth it?

Yep, it's worth it, 100%. Although I have had some minor problems with shifting gears. The fact that you can put the gear box beside you is a big advantage. Also the clutch and H-pattern is a nice feature (for future games).

But for me?
I use auto more then Manual :S i dont know why the habbit stayed i started playing Gt2 in 2000 and i was about 8 then and it has stayed i think some practice i could do manual.
But if i did do manual i would most likely use the Paddle shifters instead of the H shifter so would it be worth then?
Because i see no point trying to use a H shifter on a Late 80's-Current LMP race cars which use paddle or used paddle shifters when they raced wouldnt it be making it more unrealisitic but yea it would be more fun for the Road Cars.

Before I had a G25 I only used manual for drifting but since I have the G25 wheel I always use the H shifter, it's just to bad GT4 doesn't supurt the H pattern or a clutch pedal. but I still think GT4 is one of the best racing games and the G25 is the perfect wheel for me. the gear box isn't all reallistic but the rest of the wheel is as real as it gets. And 1 big advantige of this wheel it works on the PS2 and PC :D when I play the right games o the PC I do use the clutch and H-pattern.
It wasn't a waste of money for me,
Expensive but worth it's money 100%

In real racing like WTCC they don´t use H shifter so it´s dumb to call it realistic to use H shifter in racinggames, I have the G25 and I hate the sequential mode becuse if you just press the shifter down a little bit it get stuck at 4 gear at the H mode. It stinks. :grumpy:

Actually, the h-gate shifter is completely realistic if used in a racing game like GT5: Prologue where you can use the h-gate mode without the clutch, h-gate is still the primary form of manual shifting in the modern automobile. It is much more involving than just using the sequential mode. You may have an issue with your g25. Does anyone else here have issues with the shifter on their g25?

It seems that when I go over rumble strips or otherwise do a lot of boiuncing around on the track, the shifter gets out of position & will not shift to the next gear. In order to counteract this I nudge it with my hand after any bumps on the track - this seems to reset it.

G25 is great: worthwhile upgrade from the DFP if you do a lot of racing. I use paddles for "paddle-cars" & gear shift on other cars.

I have another question. Does the Logitech g25 still come included with the RFactor demo disc that came with early G25's? I would like to try the demo because I do not have broadband for download.
