My wife is a genuine fan of Bob. She has more enthusiasm for him winning a race than for me actually getting to work on time. She says "If you drove as fast as Bob you wouldn't be late for work all the time!".
The point is I take a taxi to work and telling the driver "pace up!" doesn't much help when he doesn't speak English or me Chinese.
