Downhill Touge Racing in GT5?

After watching Initial D i've really gotten into touge racing and drifting. But it seems that there aren't any decent tracks in GT5 to do this in. There should be some downhill, point A to point B, tracks. What are your suggestions for new tracks?

The only equivalent to the Touge in GT5 are the Toscana custom tracks. Unfortunately that means there aren't any proper uphill or downhill sections like in Forza. The custom tracks are still however used in LOTS and other touge competitions. There aren't any touge passes as you see in Initial D but there are plenty of custom tracks that are still fun to drift.

Do you think they will ever add some tracks like that? Ive seen the kind of tracks they have on Forza. They look soo fun. Its almost worth buying Forza just for those.

There's actually a Touge League on GTPlanet called LotS. Just go to GT5 Online Competitions -> Clubs and Leagues -> Legends of the Streets Initial D Touge. Tada, there you go!

We're talking about A to B touge.

Note Racedriver GRID

Oh! That subject lol for Second I thought he was talking about if there was any Touge Racing on GT5. My apologies for the misunderstanding, I remember there was a picture of A to B in GT5's course maker but I guess it never made it to GT5. GRID wasn't that bad of a game, use to always love going on Haruna(I was a big ID fanboy back in 2008 xD)

Got to agree with this as a regular LotS competitor. It's about the closest you will get to Touge Racing in GT5, though as you say we are limited to using custom Toscana Tarmac, Eifel Circuit, and Mt. Aso courses. Which are all looped tracks and have limited elevation and barely resemble a real Touge at all :(.

I doubt they ever will unfortunatly, Touge Racing is basically nothing more than street racing, and GT games mostly try to stay away from any street racing theme in their courses. All city tracks in GT5 even the GT orginal tracks have big red/white curbs to eliminate the impression that it's a street race. So if GT5 does ever add in a Touge track i'd expect it to have big red/white curbs to ruin the theme.

And my opinion on the Fujimi Kaido Touge in Forza (the only Touge track in Forza to my knowledge, I havn't played it in a while) It isn't a great Touge experiance, it's very, very wide and seems to have been designed to give drifters plenty of room to link corners. :indiff:

Maybe a street racing DLC one day. Or at least more of a sandbox-type track builder. That would be cool if we could actually draw the lines for a track and it just generates onto a theme like mountains or street.

That would be a louzy excuse, honestly. A to B as well as down- and uphill tracks are vastly demanded by the GT community, or so I've noticed. It still amazes me that a (fictional) touge track has yet to make it into Gran Turismo after all these years or at least making it as an option in the track creator. I'd personally would've love to see the Gunsai Touge track that is usually featured in Best Motoring. Toscana just isn't good enough.

The touge tracks were the single biggest reason why I got Forza 4 to begin with besides the lovely customization options, as well as GRID and soon Enthusia (for the second time).

We need this :D

I knew it. this is Irohazaka. I've driven here countless times back in the IDAS 4 days, there's no way I wouldn't recognize this course. :sly:

The upper image must be the uphill road. Interesting...

where is this? This touge looks nice. 👍

HOLY 🤬!! where the 🤬 is that touge located? I must know!!:drool:

The touge track on Forza sucks terribly, it shouldn't even be called a touge.
The best mountain pass track I know on a road racing game was Dragon Range from Enthusia (and the tracks from Kaido Battle Touge no Densetsu)

Aka Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2 :P Best Touge Game I played before, finished the game and apparently Manabu Orido and Nob Taniguchi helped out making the game o_O

Yes!!! I agree with this. I still play that game to this day

Has anyone ever tried driving Nurburgring backwards? It's quite a challenge if you ask me.

All 4 of those pictures are of the Irohozaka Touge. First one is the uphill, second one is downhill. The fourth one (with the spiral bridge) is near the top of the uphill section. The third one, I'm not sure if it's uphill or downhill.

Nearly the same angles in the last two pictures can be seen in a squirrel suit video on YouTube. There are several shots of the spiral bridge, as well as of the section of road in the 3rd shot.

Cerebus post a picture of a map of the Irohozaka touge somewhere on these forums...too lazy to find it right now lol.
