Download youtube videos?Music

Been looking for a good MP3 converter for youtube videos, anyone can help me to find one as all the apps on firefox do not seem to work for me at the moment.

Tried that one just now and when i copied the URL and pressed download it started loading and said 'youtube video not found'. Does it work with all youtube videos, or do you have to be lucky?

I use the Downloadhelper plugin with Firefox to save the video, and my fave media conversion software is Super by erightsoft which is a little odd in some ways (last time I checked it was really hard to actually find the download link on their site, way too many spammy decoys) but worth it once you have it running. It'll convert pretty much any video file you throw at it to MP3.

Ahem. The AUP states that you shall not use the forums to discuss illegal activities, and as this is in the music subforum one can only assume that you are talking about using youtube downloaders as a means of pirating music, which isn't strictly speaking legal.

Seeing apps like these are freely available from firefox itself, i don't think it's highly illegal and in violation of the AUP but thanks anyway mister policeman.

No. Just saying that if you're going to discuss ways of downloading YouTube videos then it makes no sense to that in the music section unless you're discussing it as a means of pirating music, which infringes the AUP. Otherwise it should be in the Computers & Technology section.

You can also use a program called "aTubeCatcher". Its freeware, very user friendly and with many options to convert from/to.

I can vouch for this. Free, as the name suggests, and pretty easy to work with.
