Hi, everyone,
I know, I know: It's realistic to have downshift protection in the modern cars. Does anyone think it makes for better racing or more fun when driving? I doubt it. pCARS1 didn't have it, and that was infinitely better.
I mean, there's nothing wrong with downshift protection per se, but is there any way to turn it off? After all, you can also turn mechanical failures off and those are the only reason you need downshift protection. So, is there also a way to deactivate it or at least make it less restrictive? Because as it is now, you simply can't break by downshifting in the slightest, which I feel is too restrictive.
