DR acting oddly

I run two sport accounts. I hadn't used one for a while and it was sitting at DR:A and SR:B (I stopped using it as couldn't get my SR up after a terrible day at Monza GR 1). Anyway, I came back to use it a few days ago and had a few good races but in uncompetitive rooms. SR has gone up to A but my DR has now shot to max A and when I checked on Kunos, my DR is S level, about 52k (but presumably my DR can't increase until SR does).

It doesn't seem right at all, it was middle A at most previously, it can't have shot up to S after 2/3 uncompetitive races surely? - is this a known glitch or error?

Have you got a link to your kudosprime? This is probably the glitch that causes the DR to go up when SR falls dramatically

Edit: see this guy dropped from SS to S/B and his DR got a boost to 75k (max) https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/dr-driver-points-glitch.375059/

You cannot have an SR two levels below DR.

I’m trying to test something similar.

You can’t raise your DR above your SR.

But you can drop your SR below you DR. But if you SR drops more than 2 levels below your DR your DR goes down too (to whatever is 1 level above your SR).

But, when this happens your DR points jumps to a fixed amount (which doesn’t seem to correspond to your new DR letter). That’s why you’re shown as DR A even though you’re DR S baised on points. I expect you jumped to exactly 50k points. Your DR will raise to S once your SR gets to S.

I think if you are S/S and drop to S/B your DR points jump to exactly 70k. I’ll try and test this tonight.

It’s like the default points is set at the wrong level.

Yeah, it's backwards. You actually get rewarded for dropping at the moment, unless you fall to B D or C E.

Looks like you answered my question!

PD should get that fixed really!

Edit: I have a colleague who was the beneficiary of this... last week, he rage quit a race, dropping his SR to D but his DR shot to 20000. In the game, he was shown as a D rated driver so easily won the next two races... these points were then added on to his artificial total of 20000, so that when he got his SR back to B his DR had got to 25000

So guys let me understand this.
We have a player that is DR C/SR S.He enter one/two Sports mode races. He quit both races in the first lap thus he is losing his SR rating but at the same time he will gain DR rating. So after 2-3 races he can "re-set" his SR back to S but without actually being "faster" he has boosted his DR rating to B or A?

No, because if you are DR C you would drop to SR E which would mean your points "reset" to 7000. You need to be B or higher and only drop two SR ranks.
This is under the graph on Kudos
"A low SR score can limit the DR Class, and even reset the DR score to predefined values (7000 pts if SR dive below 5, 20,000 pts below 15 and 50,000 pts below 30."

Edit: so you would need to be at least 10000 DR to start with and then drop under 15 SR but stay above 5 SR

So it will work only if I am a DR B (or higher) and SR S and after a few races I'll be DR A (or maybe S) and back to SR S?

EDIT:So DR B-A-S drivers can use this glitch to actually gain DR points or overall rating without "earning" it with actual race resuals (I mean legit).

If you start as B/S and your SR drops to between 5 and 15, you will jump to 20000 (midway up B)
If you start as A/S and your SR drops below 30, you will jump to 50000 (top of A).

And a new one from the guy who posted another thread, seems to show that if you are S/S and drop to 65 SR, your DR jumps to 75000

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/dr-driver-points-glitch.375059/

Edit: you don't need to start as SR/S...
For example, you could be DR/B SR/B and drop to between 10 and 15 points which is SR/D.

Im not sure exactly how it works. But I guess you’d have to still have enough DR points to be at DR S before it resets your points. (Or whatever level you are)

If you disconnect you’ll lose both DR and SR points. So you might just fall a level in both and not trigger the reset of DR points.

I’d say it’s safer just to smash someone off the track and finish in a decent position. :)

No, this is not correct. There is a fault in the system somewhere.

So pretty much race dirty and get a nice reward for doing so.

So you cannot gain DR rating but still you get DR point boost in some cases.Because you cannot gain anything if you are a really high B or A (I mean you wont jump to an A or S).

Exactly, you get the points but not the rating until you climb back to the required SR level. So, in this instance (If you start as B/S and your SR drops to between 5 and 15, you will jump to 20000 (midway up B)) in the game it would show you as max C until your SR was back to B, at which point the bar would shoot to halfway up B.

If you are DR/A you can jump to 50000, if you drop to 30 SR.
If you are DR/S you can jump to 75000, if you drop to 60 by the looks of that other thread.

Oh. But what if I’m S/S and disconnect and them im A/S. Haven’t i just shot myself in the foot.

Yeah, exactly... you need to drop the right amount of points. A 10 lapper on Monza would probably do the trick

To be fair, there is an argument that you shoot yourself in the foot anyway, as you will just be in a race that you cannot compete in.

Edit: on the same day that my colleague went from B/B to B/D so got the boost to 20000, I went from B/B to B/E (I dropped just 1 SR point too many) so dropped to 7000 DR points and literally had to start again.

In this case you’d just jump from an S to an S. You’d just have a comfy cushion of points to stop you falling down to A.

I got it.If you are a lower B/A/S driver you can boost your DR points by racing dirty in a few races (propably can gain better final results by doing this also) and then a few clean races in order to get your SR back.
And since its not like the "tire" bug or "pit" bug or -similar- you are not actually cheating so PD has zero valid reasons to suspend your account since you are not....cheating (kinda).
After all, everyone can have a few "bad" races.....

Yeah but you have to be dirty enough, quickly enough to not lose your DR before your SR drops enough. And also, make sure you don't drop too far in SR or you will get reset to 7000! It's difficult to do intentionally...

Oh if only you would give me your psn account! The joy of smashing you off the track while gaining 70k DR points! :):):)

I am not doing to try this btw,I am just asking to understand how the glitch work.So next time someone puts me out of the track I could give him another excuse to the "Just a mistake" or "He is a dirty driver".I could say "Just boosting his DR points, nothing more to that" lol...

@PirateAlan8 I am sure you would if you enjoy to wreck others.I on the other hand would not..

I think you just look for the bad in people.

You should look in your mirror instead! If the contact is going to be hard enough to send you spinning you’ll see it first!

99% of the time its not a bump directly from behind. People dont often do it on purpose, they have an unwaving belief they can make the overtake and go down your inside. Just let them fly by!

This is what happened to me:
http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=1950956

I was low A, had a very bad race. Then my dr jump to 50.000 under normal circumstances my dr should be negative.
my actually skill level is low A and you can see on the stat site that i cant keep the dr level of 50.000 because im paired with aliens.

I really hope they will fix this problem soon, because if i get another bad day/race, then i will jump to 50.000 again and its not funny to race with aliens when Im human with flesh and blood :-)

Its obvius and error that your dr jump up instead of down, when the game should punish me for bad driving

 you went up 17000 DR points!

Ok mate...

On the flip side. I dropped to SR C and went from 65k points to 50k! Most frustrating :P

Ouch. At least you stayed above A..

Trust me its not a good thing. I had the feeling that i was in the way of the other drivers. I told my self that i have as much right as them to play this game when they passed me. And that happened alot

 little did you realise....
