Whatever works best for you is the best setup, Your basicly asking someone else to adjust your drivers seat.:)

There is no one best setup

personally i use R2 for gas and L2 for brake as they have more play if you are trying to launch at a specific rpm. My e-brake is still O and my shift up is X and shift down is square. But as everyone is telling you, use what works best for you.

Close to my setup lol. only square shifts up and x for down. but ive also mapped the R/A(?) function to my controller via R3 and directionals for when im not using my wheel

Lmao nicely said!

my gas is R2 brake is L2 and i pull left analoge stick back for ebrake so your just releasing the sick to launch.

This is the top secret method for online pro-launching.

Glue a popsicle stick to the top of both analog sticks, set both sticks right for ebrake and left for acceleration. You'll get twice as fast release on the brake and twice the throttle for launch. :sly:

What's the best glue to use for this ? I have 5 minute epoxy but JB-Weld may be another option. I'd look like a fool if the glue suddenly let go on the start line.

Gorilla glue works best. Make sure it doesnt leak down into the rotation assembly when it expands though, otherwise it will lock everything up.

I use 2 controllers. one left one right. i use the right joystick on the left for steering and the left on my right for throttle brake. wave them around so the six axis locks the ebrake. Video it for us so we can have a reference how to do it. I would do it but I dont have a camera.

That's brilliant!

you guys are fudging with him right??? If not damn, I wish I had that much time in a day to do this. I happen to have a wife and a job and kids so i just use 1 controller with no popsicle sticks. :)

You don't know what you're missing out on, my friend. Popsicle racing is the newest thing.
