I really don't understand how you can launch as fast as a 4WD car with a RWD car, racing soft tire and no traction, nothing..

I was tuning my LP670 online against other racer on Indy and other player with Ford GT, Viper, Speed 12 etc.. launched faster than me :/

How the hell do you do that? All i do with a RWD, is spinning and losing the race.. I tried everything, i've read here some tricks about setting +1 toe in the rear but it didn't change anything..

So.. What is the gold setting for this? Is this the same for the FWD as well?

Ford GT is probably the fastest launching RWD car I know of. ACR is up there as well.

What are your suspension settings? Also starting in 2nd or 3rd gear might help you.

To keep up with cars that launch faster, I drop the rear of my suspension, raise the front, and zero out all wheel alignment. Also take of front and rear downforce off. If you still have trouble increase your acceleration sensitivity. Should help stabilize the grip.

Just a note for any would be new drag racers who read this, you can not see other peoples cars tire smoke, so don't think that the other person isn't roasting the tires.

My Enzo, which I launch in 3rd gear spins till 90mph before I shift into 4th gear.

One thing I did to my Mach 1 is set it up for 3 gears instead of 5. It's almost like having a high stall torque converter, as your revs go up quickly and then as soon as you hit 3rd you're getting your real acceleration. I gained a few MPHs out of that.

And launch in 2nd or 3rd gear.

I really wouldn't recommend starting in second or third gears, that's not using the entire range of the vehicle's box to be honest, you'll drive a lot quicker using all 5/6/7/8 gears; go floor the vehicle and see when you stop spinning your wheels, then increase the length of the required gears, and then go from there, don't expect to be able to floor first gear though, you need to control the throttle, but you'll go a lot quicker than being in 3rd gear to start, that's really not a good plan; it's easy but it's not as quick as you would be with practice. You should also play around with suspension, LSD and so fourth in order to gain those extra few tenths of seconds.

Instead of launching in a higher gear and losing the lower gears tune your transmission so that your 1st gear is very high (80mph+) so you can get a good launch and still have all your gears for better acceleration and top end. Just do a search in the tuning section there are threads on how to do it I just forget the names.

It is the opposite my friend. Raise the rear and drop the front 👍

Yup. Wheelspin isn't always bad.

Yea but even then sometimes it is necessarily to start in 2nd or 3rd. In my Enzo 1st and 2nd are as long as it will go but I still redline. 3rd is the sweet spot for me.

Thx to all of you guys :P I didn't understand at first when i saw them leaving me behind but now i think its my setup who is at fault haha I will work on that! :)

Just keep tinkering with your tune and soon you will be leaving others behind 👍
