Drag mode?

Hi, I have been reading this thread for a while not posting.

Online a lot of racers have been telling me about drag mode and that it is a faster way of driving.

Can anyone give me any tips or lead me to guides where this is explained deeper?

Thank you :)

Yes F1 CE.

Example on Monza i was racing online and i can get around high 1.20's/1.21 and speaking to other racers who were getting 1.19/20 they said there car was set to drag mode.

All i noticed is that they were pulling away from me after all the chicanes. Maybe its just simple acceleration gear ratios.

Well, I know that at Monza if you get into someones 'draft' that your car goes so much faster that you can shave a couple of seconds off the lap time. But it seems pretty arbitrary, you could be 8 seconds behind someone then all of a sudden get a massive draft and be travelling about 20 mph faster down the main straight.

The only other thing I can think of is that I've noticed some very fast drivers who use manual gears, actually bang off the rev limiter before changing gear. Like so:

I have no idea how he's always getting his revs in the red on every straight. Maybe this is what the 'drag' is in reference to. I don't understand it though.
