Heay Guys

i bought today the speedhunter dlc.
when i started the first drag race i thought, yes this is cool.
i drove the dodge speedhunters. i perfectly shift in the 1 gear and then my wheels starting spinning around lika crazy.

this is no drag, when my wheels spin to the 4 gear.
how can i solve this problem ?

mfg ervohans
sorry for my bad english i am from swiss

Throttle Control. Mashing it will spin the tyres thru 4th if the car has monstrous power.

c'mon have u ever seen a drag race in real world ?
the mash it up from the beginning and the tyers dont spin like crazy

Having attended quite a few drag races (and having spoke to a few members here who drag race) the drivers most certainly do not mash the throttle from the off.

Throttle control is most certainly still required, the sheer amount of torque hitting the driven wheels in a drag racer is huge and you can't just go wide open throttle and expect not to suffer.

On another note, while I know that you are not a native English speaker you are still expected to follow the AUP and that includes the requirement to not use text-speak.

AUP
•You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

Scaff

yep to what SCAFF said.

A car with a ton of power can easily break loose in a high gear, then you add weather, tire pressure, road surface, etc. One of the main reasons drag racers crash half way down the track is they loose traction, from power or hit a slick spot.

the viper is useless (that is really hard to say, coming from a die hard viper nut) in this game. I built it for the standing mile and NO MATTER WHAT the tires break loose. I played with tire PSI (even went to 0 and one point), toe, caster, suspension, everything and it didn't make a difference.

Once the viper gets into the power band and at high boost it's over, I even put it in 6th gear and did half throttle and it still broke loose. WTF!

Hi All, the drag takes a bit of getting used to; it took 10 false starts before i made some headway, i tuned for quick and gently eased on the throttle, before i had any success. maybe you can tyr this.

Yea,my street weight V10 Supra pushes 1810whp on boost alone,I haven't even installed nitrous in it yet and I'm not going to cause it spins top of 6 gear if I go full throttle lol it's insane,I got 267 out of it.

The lp640 grips like nobodies buisness. I hit 277 and i reckon if i sort out the mess i made of the gears i coukd easily get higher. How do people hit the world record of 309? What do they use?

You're supposed to use high pressure for the tires. Put a bit of downforce on the rear and lift the rear ride height. Hopefully that will allow you to hold the car down until you get to higher gears.

??? that would create less traction. lower PSI gives a wider foot print, and I have a little bit of down force in the rear and the rear is a little higher then the front. I've tried everything but increase the tire PSI. looks like I'll be doing that then. thanks

*snip*

I am not en expert on this, but it seems like there is something wrong with the physics when taking off in a higher gear. At least there seemed to be in drift. It seems like the wheels spin more easily when you try to take off in a higher gear than when you start in 1.
Did anyone else notice this, or am I going crazy? :)

yes and no, it breaks loose in a heart beat in a low gear. When you are in a high gear once you get to the power band you can kiss traction goodbye (in my fully built viper it's like 3k I believe, after that I might as well be on ice)

Have rear pressure in the 30's & the back dampers hard as hell. If that don't give you somewhat decent grip you're SOL
