Whoever drove that Viper needs to go back to driving school... It should have been faster than that, but hey, it's TV, it's in Britain, it's normal they'll be biased towards the local, just like here... :P

LOL. Typical Yank.

i've only got a 56k dial up so it takes forever to download movies, is it the jeremy clarkson drag race where the cerbera wins it and the viper gets its ass kicked
if so thats a great race and finally puts the viper in its place

nope the insurace said it was a write off so i'm waiting to recieve the money from them. when i get the money i might go for something else, i was thinking of either a merc sl600 or perhaps a lotus esprit v8 not sure yet i'm going to have a good think about it later.

i know but the rear end is a right mess so i can sort of see where there coming from, and just to let you know those two ***** that did it got off doing just three weeks community service :banghead:
but my nephew says he knows who they are so it could be time to take the law into my own hands :mischievous:

i was thinking of grabbing them, beating the crap out of them and then chaining them to a tree in some near by woods, what do you think?

Nah, not painful enough. "You could try chaining them up by their nipples though ;) "

So thats what you Brummies do for a laugh?
That sucks about your car though, BMW.

You know the cerebra in the drag race, is it a cerebra 4.5?
I swear they have a simmilar amount of power in comparison to a viper?

Yeah it is, but it's not just power though - the engine in the Viper is an 8 litre V10, so it's gonna be twice as heavy as the V8 the Cerb has. Also, the body is lighter, so the power to weight ratio I would imagine is higher in the Cerb than in the Vipe. :)

But I believe they both have 450BHP yes. :)

BTW - us Brummies are to busy visiting the local Chippies and Curry houses to do anything like that, so bleh. :P

Na, thats got to be wrong. Like someone else said, the Viper must have a **** driver. It looks like it came second to last.
And the driver of the Cosworth?
I would have thought they got better than 14.5 down the 1/4 mile.

Sweet video.
Looks like another for the hard drive collection.
Thanks. ;)

The TVR is not stronger than the Viper. It has about 50 less horsepower but is also quite a bit lighter.

The biggest problem with American supercars like the Viper and the Corvette is the fact that both weigh over 3000 pounds and yet still only have room for two people. The highest performance Corvette Z06 (405 hp) has an aluminum engine block, aluminum suspension bits, titanium springs, a hollow camshaft and still weighs in at a portly 3116 pounds. The Viper GTS Coupe (500 hp) is worse yet. It has an aluminum engine block as well and still tips the scales at 3460 pounds. Thats about the same as a full size Chevy short bed pickup. The TVR Cerbera 4.5 (450 hp) weighs in at 2425 pounds. That's more than half a ton of advantage over the Viper. There's no way the Viper can keep up with that much excess weight.

ha ha....everything there would get burned by a viepr i saw at hot import nights in san mateo a coupla weeks ago. over 900 hp le mans spec engine...it cost the guy 70 grand jst for it. otherwise its a full blown race car so i cant realy compare it but i still would want to see the race again with the viper i saw
