Drag tuning tips

Right I'm not asking for exact tunes but pointers to get me started! I drag alot on the Indy road course 1/4mile and use cars like the ford gt, gtr vspec and Chevrolet zr1 RM!
Any pointers or tips will be much appreciated

All 3 mainly no sripe and 05
