Im not looking for a full tune, but im asking for help on how to make one, what should i play aroound with?

I know i need to change the gear ratios, and i have done, but i want to stop wheelspin, or limit it.

How tough can tuning for a straight line be? What else do you need to know but weight transfer to the rear on full power.

So I guess you have some awesome tunes for it then? Cool, post some up for this guy.

Hay look we have the same name :)

Ok guy, I don't know what Shift has for drag racing but the first thing any drager knows is weight transfer at the launch. So my first move would be to reduce the front rebound dampining to the reflect 90/10 percentage w/ the 10 representing the rebound.

Next I'd control rear wheel hop w/ the shocks or bind up the rearend so there is no movement like a real dragracer and control the launch w/ tire presure. Put some toe-in front and rear to increase straight line control.

Then I'd slow down the steering so you don't over correct keeping it going straight, don't forget tons of power and the name is "Lefty" ... "Lefty Wright"

I dont understand what your name has to do with anything...or we have the same name thing...but ok. And not sure how much help you would be for the OP if you dont play Shift...

Best thing to do is upgrade the tires, not just flooring it helps too

Wheres the fun in using half the throtle?

Thanks for the advice, i will try when i get home later, what im doing at the moment is reducing the front ride height, lengthening the gears and make the ther streering less responsive, but i wil mess around abit see if i can reduce the wheelspn. Again, thanks for your help.

Just like your fake name we all use one and it sounded like you were giving me a new one so I returned the favor. As far as playing the game goes I have Shift 1 and 2. I just don't elect to play it right now because I'm consumed w/ Dirt 3 and GT5 but like Arnold said "I'll be bauk"

As far as my pointers for the OPz request tell me where my logic is wrong, humm. I have done quite a bit of Draging for real and contimplated building a F Alterd so put that in your pipe. :)

So I was giving you a new name by asking to post some tunes for this guy (guy= OP)?? Ooooo k.

Nothing is wrong with your pointers. But sadly when it comes to the drag racing in game, it is different. So I questioned why, w/o doing the drag racing in S2 do you think you can help the OP out. Legit question IMO.

Even at the most basic level the game has to have some aspect of reality and those points are real world basics when it comes to Draging. I mean after all we are talking about going in a straight line.

As far as how can I know what the trick tunes are for the OP since I have not purched the DR pack or taken a car down the Shift Strip? Well I don't have to and I wasn't trying to give him a tune just a logical way to look at Drag racing in general so he would have a place to start.

Heck I don't think I have to go to war either to know how to fire a gun in a FPS war game like Battle Field or Medal of Honor do I? No because the basics are the same, Kill people and break things. IMO :)
