Dragon Drift Gt video

UHM has anyone seen the video, in my opinion that video was just a dragon ball episode and nothing else. sure there were some mild driftsand the twin drifts were very good , but it was mostly dragon ball gt. also i think they should of taken the sounds from the GT3 out. you could hear all the E-brake they used. it souned odd to me. it would of been better if they would twin drift in more levels say deep forest or trail mountain. im not saying the videos sucked im just saying there could of been things that could make it better.

Yup I have seen it, actually it was my cusin that made it. And I totaly agree with you, although he can drift 4wd very well I really don't think he took the time or effort to put in his best drifts or even any that i would even consider good, except for the few nice but short twin drifts (I was in the yellow lan evo). It really could have been MUCH better. As for the sound well he has some theory that it's all in the key of C or somthing like that so it fits with the music.

Hello! I am Aku the shape shifting master of evil… er, sorry, wrong intro. I am the famous (or infamous depending where you’re from) TruenoAE86’s cousin. First of all, I would like to thank everybody that has seen my drifting video and commented on it (all comments are appreciated). But, some things have to be explained. I was not aiming at producing just a drifting video, I was aiming to capture the spirit of drifting as well; the violence of screeching tires, the power of the cars, angles, technique and the such have to be represented. It was hard to find out what exactly or how exactly to symbolize that without cars. The first thing I needed was a cool song. Three doors down provided me with that. In the song they sing about going crazy and, to anyone that has actually sat in a car while it drifts, you know that feeling as your car slowly looses control. It’s freaking crazy. Second, I needed to find images that would represent the crazy-ness of drifting and what better then Dragonball (really crazy anime for those that don’t know it). If you pay enough attention to the lyrics and the transitions in my movie you will find a pattern that represents how I personally feel about drifting. I wanted more then scenes of GT3 cars drifting; I wanted the video to have feeling. Lastly I wanted to comment about the sound of the tires. I love that sound. I think that all drifters should love the sound of screeching tires and howling engines as that is what drifters do and hear all the time. I guess that’s a long enough post for now. Please send more comments if you have them!

Is all I have to say is: that was by far the worst vid. I've ever seen. If you have any true idea about drifting you would understand that it is not about "violence" unless you are crappy at it. Drifting is about having a close relationship with the car and using its ability to not "loose control" but to keep control of the car as it looses traction. If you dont have control of your car during a drift then you need practice. Using Dragon Ball Z clips was mighty ugly. It took concentration off the drifts onto a gay ass cartoon rather then allowing the watcher to have full attention of the techniuqe and style of the drifts, it only goes to show that you have crappy video editing, horrible imaginatoin, and overall little skill in drifting.

Superb Doriftoo you really should have picked a better way of saying what you said especially since you only have 12 posts under your name. Then again, the rude ones usually don't stay that long. Anyways your other posts seem to be helpful so you’re probably not all bad. However, the next time you have something totally disrespectful to say, either keep it to yourself or say/write it in a way that isn’t completely aimed at insulting someone; unless it’s a response to someone that insulted you of course. Although; those “discussions” should probably be kept in private messages.

heres an idea i had when i saw the video. you showed a few clips of some of the characters going SS...what if you had the red car(or changed it to black) heading into a corner, then you could have it flash the yellow car back and forth between the black and yellow car, and stay on the yellow car as it drifts around the corner, kinda like a car going SS


:EDIT: also while the car is black..you could have it take corners like a normal car, but when it turns yellow(SS) it drifts

Yeah that's a great idea, we kind of did that in the video we are working on now but it has nothing to do with DBZ. Anyway that one won’t be ready for a while, cus I’m not really satisfied with the twin drifts that we did; they just don’t look that spectacular because one car is FR and the other is 4WD. I'll have to figure out something cool to put in. If I do leave it the way it is, the drifting might not be all that amazing but it should be fun cus it will be sort of like an initial d race with subtitles and such.

another good idea , most of the cars on GT3 you can get to look like ID cars...the evos, trueno, FC, no wing for the FD though hehe. yeah the actual angle of drift is different on an AWD car compared to an FR...i still think it would look good to see the difference in the two drivetrains during a twin drift. is your video being done at night? cause that would make the cars look even more like the ID ones.. GT3 needs a track editor, then you could make Akina

I will try to be less critical. But he did call me a "gay ass cartoon" from what he said. If thats the best he can do, then he oughta think of more constructive criticism. Anyway... from what was in the vid. my skill far surpasses yours. The twin drifts were ok. But the angles werent all that great. You should try taking the inside of turns instead of always going on the outside. At least try that for you next video. Anyone can drift the outside, but to take the inside at the same speed is much better.

You would be surprised how hard twin drifting really is. I would say it's about 20 times harder than regular drifting. Anyone can drift normally on the inside or the outside . I’m just joking with ya.

Taking an inside line is one thing, but doing it right next to someone else is completely different. Any drift where we ended up side-by-side for more than a second or two was really considered a success. Anyway yes, there was little “impressive” drifting in that particular movie besides the twin drifting. As for drift angle, well more angle means less control and less predictability, and I’m sure you can understand how important predictability is when twin drifting… Anyway check out my movie if you haven’t seen it already, the link is in my sig and it’s called “Opposite lock” It’s more "traditional" to say the least.

Keep in mind though that constructive criticism (see Lan Evo for a good example) is comprised of two parts: outlining the part that you think could be better and suggesting a way to make it better. Both elements have to present.
With that I will leave you for the night. Keep on posting and suggesting and, if you find it necessary, insulting ( right superb doriftoo?). I find it all very useful.

Your video was terrific and the dbz video , the dbz made me watch that video like 8 times i like the way u fadedd it , and that guy said that u did a poor editing job. i wanna see him do somtin better and im not joking.

That pisses me off. I wont bash the video but mr. ****ing cobra here...gaaa. what a bastard. I dont have the thing to hook up the memory card to my pc to get the vids. I dont twin drift with anyone because noone i know is any good at this game. And about my skill level, I drift complex course. Every turn. You are the type of person who is pissed off at people with actual skill and knowledge of drifting so you talk as you do. My advice to you mr. ****ing cobra: get some *****, realize DBZ is a cartoon, learn how to play GT3, and then learn about real drifting.

Check it out, tell me what you think, if you are in fact close to as good as cudaman (that’s the guy that made gran dorifto) I would be interested in knowing what you think of it.

GAAA...lol j/k. calm down guys, i sense the tempers a' flarin. Doesn't matter if someone is better than someone else..as long as they are having fun...and ive seen A LOT of real life as well as video game drifting and i must say it was done pretty well in the DBGT video...not to perfection, but with very few flaws considering the twin drift. unfortunatly im on 56k right now..otherwise i'd like to see the opposite lock video. i downloaded all the others on the GTP main page..good stuff, that cuda is amazing as for me..i just got my PS2 less than a week ago, im still getting used to the physics of the game, i can drift some..but im limited on the controller...(have a wheel, but it's much more difficult as im not used to it.) i have some good ideas for some vids, but im gonna wait till im decent at it first

Anyways, The DragonDrift GT was a good video overall, but the DB GT in the background distracted most of my attention. The drifting was good, although I wish that there was more drifting. I see what you wanted to do with the story line and stuff, but it would have been more interesting if the characters bumped each other, trying to win, if you know what I mean. I like the video. I hope I get to see some more from you

superb doriftoo, GTP is not a place to self-proclaim. Try to keep that to a mininum.
