Thanks about the help...:sly:

either the FPV GT or the Mitsubushi Evolution VIII GSR. FPV GT is more predictable but the Evo is quicker and easier to drift into higher angles. check out my pictures in the thumbnail gallery.
(page 83 is the FPV GT)
(page 87 is the Evo 8)

Best bit of advice i can think of id to test them yourself. I find that different cars suit my style of drifting better than others. Go into arcade mode, choose a car you think could be a good drifter (pretty much any FR car has the ability) and have at it. Put N1 or N2 tyres on and maybe give the car a 20-30 bhp increase to make it a little easyer to spin the wheels.

Ive been asked this question over 40 times now and my answer has always been the same. If you are learning to drift then grab a FD RX7 as this car has fantastic balance, enough power to get you drifting and will keep on teaching you. Once you have the hang of it you can up the power or start changing suspension settings untill you are really happy with your technique and the car.

I would strongly advise against learning to drift in anything with more than 350hp as although its easy to spin the wheels, drifting is more about technique and not power. I hardly use any cars with more than 400bhp to drift as its simply too excessive.

As for tracks i would say that Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and El Capitan will soon become your homes. Trial Mountain is an all round course best for teaching you the basics and can be a forgiving circuit.

Deep Forest is more tight and twisty and helps you learn to turn the car while drifting and link corners. It also will help improve your smoothness as Deep Forest will bounce the car about keeping on your toes by continuously making you make small steering imput changes to stay online.

El Capitan i have found is good for high speed drifting and making you go from a highspeed drift to a low speed drift and will help your braking alot. Also it has ALOT of camber changes and crests which throw the car where you do not want it helping you to learn to deal with sudden car movements.

But back to the main question, Just go into arcade mode like i said and try a few out for yourself. Dont expect to be able to jump into a car and instantly be able to hold a drift, just choose a car you like and think you can drift with and keep practicing.

The RX7 is a winner though :sly:

Hope this helps

Go to Arcade Mode and try out stock cars, see how they feel, if you like the car, find it in GT Mode and buy it. Then do what ever you want after to it.
